Description
This private residence of the 19th century has just been renovated into a modern, comfort habitat; a real oasis in its urban surroundings. This neoclassical type of semi-detached building is so characteristic of this neighborhood and of the architectural typology of its period (1860) and has been elegantly decorated with modern art and furniture. It is meant to provide luxurious accommodation combined with privacy and a sense of easy living while in the busy life of downtown Athens. The space You will be staying in a private residence of about 100 m2, which sleeps up to 6 people and consists of 2 bedrooms (one with a king-size bed and a single sofa bed and the other with a double bed and a bunk bed that sleeps two people), a bathroom with a shower, a spacious living room where you can rest on a comfortable sofa, a fully-equipped kitchen and a private terrace where you can enjoy the sunshine, treat yourself to relaxing jacuzzi or even dine outside. You can also check out our playlist on Spotify, under Somos Suenos Athens Guest access All major sights, museums, and monuments are at your feet. There is a metro station within walking distance (10 minutes apr.). "Exarcheia’s reputation precedes it. Often referred to as the anarchist neighborhood of Athens, there is much more to Exarcheia than immediately meets the eye. Exarcheia is an area with much to offer for misfits of all kinds: migrants, students, artists, and intellectuals call this colorful neighborhood home." B. Kontogianni "With an intellectually active student/youth culture, the area is abuzz with record stores, bookshops, a community-created park, graffiti, and cool bars and coffee shops. On any average day, Exarcheia can be a great place to explore, with its quirky stores, some beautiful (though generally unkempt) neoclassical architecture, and a palpably edgy yet vibrant cultural vibe." A. Amvrazi Other things to note Please note that in such a densely populated neighborhood, during long summer days it is common with the Athenians to have a short mid-day siesta. While you are free to use the outdoor space upon your wish, it would be appreciated if you did so respecting the quiet hours mentioned below: 1 April to 30 September: from 15: 00 to 17: 30 and from 23: 00 to 07: 00. 1 October to 31 March: from 15: 30 to 17: 30 and from 22: 00 to 07: 30.
