The Maine Botanical Garden is also beautiful! Hiking is another fantastic option, with many land-trust trails in the local area. Within walking distance is Linekin Bay Preserve with forested trails and views of the coastline and Damariscotta River. Walk the King Phillip's Trail, or take a 2-minute drive to Ocean Point at the end of the peninsula and enjoy nature's magnificence while walking the rocky coastline.
