Meerblick & Pool
This bar apartment has a furnished terrace/balcony apartment. It is a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Other things to note Recommended Day Trips Lake Skutar (also Skadar Lake): The small village of Virpazar is the main attraction of Lake Skutar. There are a few restaurants and hotels there. You can do boat tours or kayak tours on the lake. This is a MUST if you are there. Restaurant “ RestoranJezero” is located on the other side of the lake. From there you have a beautiful view of the lake and the food is fantastic. It's not a secret, but it's definitely worth a visit. Durmitor National Park: About 2.5 hours by car from Podgorica, in the north of the country. It's best to look for a place to stay near Zabljak (largest city in the area, only a supermarket and 4-5 restaurants). Hike to Black Lake: Jablan Lake is located in Durmitor National Park. The route is about 7 km long and takes about two and a half hours. Lonely hiking trails await you where a maximum of 2-3 people and a few cows cross your path. Ring Road umd Durmitor National Park: Similar to Iceland, there is a ring road that runs through the national park where there are signs everywhere with so-called viewpoints. Especially recommended here is the stop at Tara Canyon, Lake Susicko and the Prevoj Seldo mountain range. Here, there is still snow in the summer, so incredible pictures are created. Sveti Stefan: can be reached from Kotor in 40 minutes. Island is divided into private beach and public beach. Day trip is enough. Small Niagara Falls: Still rather unknown but absolutely worth seeing are the small Niagara Falls near Podgorica. It's best to type in Google maps “ Restoran Niagra” to find it. Which cities should I see in Montenegro? Budva: Worth seeing is especially the old town, which is located on a small peninsula. Otherwise, Budva and the small pebble beach are quickly treated. If you're not on party gear, a half-day trip is always enough. Kotor: Kotor itself has a beautiful old town known for its cats. Here you should definitely stroll through. A must-see is a hike to the fortress of Kotor, from which you have a breathtaking view. Note that it's only open until 8pm! If you go in summer, you should definitely go in the morning hours, as it is cooler and there are no tourists from the cruise ships yet. Best to stay along the peninsula that leads to Tivat. Here there are small cute stone cottages that are right on the water. Tivat and Port of Montenegro: Ride from Kotor to Tivat always on the coast. Beautiful little fishing villages are waiting for you here. The port of Montenegro itself is definitely worth seeing. Here everything has been new and artificially laid out, huge yachts and chic hotels are waiting for you. Perast: Beautiful little old town from where you can take the ferry to the island “ Our Lady of Rocks”. Our pirate tip: also visit the abandoned pebble beach Velja Spila Beach (about 30 min drive from Kotor), as well as the serpentine road to Lovcen National Park. Very worth seeing & great view of Kotor Bay. How do I get from A to B? Plane: There are no domestic flights in Montenegro, but the country is much too small for that. There are a few smaller airports, but these are currently only for private shuttles. Train: There is only one working railway line in Montenegro. This leads from the port city of Bar via Podgorica all the way to Belgrade. A train runs in the morning, a night train in the evening. The day trip is worth it, because the route is really fantastic. It goes over Lake Skutar, past mountain lakes and deep gorges. A real highlight for all train tracks. Bus: The most common means of transportation. In the meantime, the network is well developed and you can reach almost any place in a few hours by bus. For example, a drive from Podgorica to Kotor costs around 15 euros and takes just under 2 hours. Rental car: This is probably still the best way to discover the country. Thanks to the short distances and the cheap rental cars, you can also visit many sights in a short time.
