Perfect for romantic getaways, artists’ retreats, and families (including well-behaved children) interested in the home's rich history and surroundings. The space The Major Thomas Fenner House is a 17th century property that is inscribed on the National Register of Historic Places, and we've arranged the House to sleep up to 10, across four private (and one semi-private) bedrooms and two full bathrooms (i.e. suitable for a maximum of eight adults and two children). Set amongst scenic woods and wetland, nature lovers can enjoy birdsong and seasonal views. The home is an architectural rarity as one of the few remaining ‘stone ender’ structures in North America, and is full of period features and rustic pre-revolutionary charm. Guests can enjoy the full kitchen and formal dining room, or barbeque and dine al fresco in nice weather. Our family has made efforts to ensure modern guests’ comfort, while abiding by good conservation practices and maintenance of a period ambiance. The House’s current guise as a short term rental supports our family’s ambition to preserve this important piece of American history. The code for your stay will be provided prior to arrival. Other things to note The Fenner House is very well kept and is equipped with WiFi throughout; the House also includes multiple TVs outfitted with Amazon Firesticks, enabling guests to enjoy streaming content via preferred app. Please note the 5th ‘bedroom’ with twin bed does not have a door to the hallway, and upstairs guests must pass through this space to access the adjacent bathroom.
