Waterside Cottage enjoys a spectacular location with private access to the shore and is in walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Broadford, Skye's second largest village. Step out and explore the island, watch the wonderful birdlife or head off to discover the magic of Skye and Lochalsh. The house is in a great location for it all. The space Waterside Cottage is packed full of character and comfort to help you enjoy your stay. It's in a great location to walk from the door, explore further afield, or head to the many restaurants and cafes of Broadford village. What makes the house extra-special is having your own garden with private access to the shore. Sitting at the garden bench you will look out to the magnificent panorama of Beinn na Caillach and the Red Cuillins to the west, the islands of Pabay and Raasay in front, and the hills of Kintail to the east. You can launch a canoe at high tide, go for a quick dip if you're feeling brave, or in winter, you might be lucky enough to see the magnificent spectre of the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights. Broadford Bay is also one of the best locations for bird-watching in Skye and you can while away hours on end looking out for sandpipers, curlews, oystercatchers, turnstones, ringed plover, herons, ducks, geese and many more varieties as well as migratory flocks just passing through. You might also spot seals, otters and deer. Internally, the 200-year old cottage has been fully renovated to meet the needs of modern living while retaining its character. It has been lovingly decorated to be a cosy haven, with all the comfort you would expect, and an extra bit of luxury thrown in. Downstairs there is a large kitchen-diner with fabulous views over the bay and a spacious lounge with views to the sea. When you’re not out exploring, choose from books, toys, DVDs , games and internet-enabled TV and or just gaze at the view. For planning your adventures there is Starlink Wi-Fi. Upstairs, you'll find three characterful bedrooms - a king, a twin and a double, along with a bathroom with WC and bath and a shower room with WC. Forsix people the cottage is extremely spacious, for two it is cosy and welcoming too. We welcome children and if you are coming with an infant we can provide a travel cot and high chair. We also welcome up to two well-behaved pooches by prior arrangement and for a small fee. For those arriving by car there is private parking for two cars and if you prefer to travel by public transport then the bus stop for Inverness, Glasgow and Fort William is just a few hundred metres away.
