Gurudeva Bhavan: en-suite single room

Krishna Valley, a spiritual eco-farm community, houses 140 volunteers dedicated to serving and living on the property. Practicing Bhakti yoga, some know us as Hare Krishnas or ISKCON members. At the heart of the farm community stands the temple, where daily worship and meditation takes place. Additionally, it holds the distinction of being one of Europe's largest ecological farm communities and is Hungary's sole cow protection center. The space About the room: This single room is locates on the ground floor of the guesthouse and has a private washroom. The room has a single bed, a desk with two armchairs and a chest of drawers, all made of fine pine wood furniture. A kettle and a jug of water await tired visitors with glasses on the table to quench their thirst. You will also find mugs, teaspoons, tea beags and sugar next to the kettle. A small lamp gives off a warm, cozy light, and when possible the vase is full with flowers. There is a small mirror and towels on the dresser. Although there is no air conditioning in the room, a fan provides a pleasant cooling breeze in the summer. The walls are decorated with beautiful pictures of Krishna and the spiritual world, and the three large windows in the room let in lots of natural light. The windows open onto the front of the courtyard and the temple, towards the street, and the draps easily block out the light when needed. The room is warmed up by a beautiful, glazed tile stove, which creates a homely atmosphere. Sitting next to the tile stove, you warm up almost immediately. The floor of the room is covered with parquet, which is further decorated with a nice carpet. Washroom: The room has a private bathroom, ensuring privacy. It has a shower cubicle, small sink, toilet, shelves and a mirror. The room’s tiled stove provides pleasant warmth to the bathroom. About the Gurudeva Bhavan guesthouse: The Gurudeva Bhavan is a two-story cottage with a canopied roof and an open terrace on the entrance side. On the terrace, comfortable wooden tables and chairs are waiting for visitors to enjoy the fresh Krishna Valley air while admiring the view of the temple and the surrounding area. The house is surrounded by green bushes and trees. At the back, under a pergola, there is a larger wooden table and chairs where guests can relax outdoors or organize joint programs. Entering the house, we are greeted by a small corridor, from which a staircase leads up to the first floor. We can comfortably place our shoes on the shoe rack next to the door, as it is required to remain inside the house without wearing outdoor shoes. Free Wi-Fi is available in our rooms so that you can use the Internet comfortably. Around the guesthouse: Our most beautiful guesthouse, Gurudeva Bhavan, is located in the heart of the Krishna Valley, just 90 meters across from the temple. Here, guests can enjoy the proximity of the temple in the most comfortable environment possible. Although Krishna Valley is not connected to the elctric network, the guesthouse’s power supply is provided by reliable solar panels that never let our visitors down. Since there is no public lighting in Krishna Valley, it is worth bringing a flashlight with you. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire property surrounding the guesthouse, featuring a spacious garden and diverse fruit trees. They are encouraged to pick and enjoy the fruits straight from the trees during the season. Apart from the guesthouse, visitors are free to explore various paths and hidden spots around the farm, including the cow barn and vegetable garden, with opportunities to lend a helping hand if they wish. The temple is open daily from 3 in the morning until 9 at night. Guests are welcome to participate in worship and meditation sessions or visit the temple room at other times to experience the spiritual serenity it offers. Other things to note Our guesthouses cater to spiritual seekers, and we kindly request all guests to adhere to these fundamental principles during their stay: 1. No meat consumption, including fish or eggs, is permitted on the premises. Please refrain from bringing these items into the guesthouses. 2. Gambling, both online and offline, is strictly prohibited. 3. Intoxication, which includes smoking, drug use, and alcohol consumption, is not allowed. 4.
