Located 6 km from Chinon, on a hill on the edge of a small wood, our two Safari Cassiopée and Orion tents, will welcome you with refinement in the country setting of our Gentilhommière. The Domaine located near the Châteaux of the Loire, is an ideal base for discovering our beautiful region. On your return, you can enjoy a swim in our natural pool, a bath in an authentic castle bathtub, or a Nordic bath over a wood fire. The space An unusual place to stay! The Orion tent is set up as a suite with all the comforts to stay, fridge, outdoor kitchen with a gas fire, barbecue. A beautiful cast iron bathtub will be the occasion for a bath with views of the surrounding countryside. You are isolated on the edge of a small wood in a cocoon of nature. Facing south, you will enjoy beautiful light and a view of the surrounding countryside. We also offer the Cassiopée tent, larger than its little sister, located at the top of the hill facing east for your breakfasts at sunrise. Cassiopée also has a private entrance, an indoor lounge and a garden lounge. Bikes will be available for your getaways. You can stroll around the park and meet birds, horses, and other animals. You can taste the products of our farm, fruits, vegetables and honey from our bees. If you'd like us to prepare your breakfast, it will be my pleasure. A supplement of €15 per person will be required. Please let us know when booking. It will be served at the desired time in a nice basket that will be dropped off in front of the tent. It will be of a varied composition according to mood and availability, with a sweet mix, savory of homemade products, fruit jams from the orchard, honey, eggs from our chickens and products from small local artisans. Finally, if you like water, you can enjoy the clear water of our natural basin or a wood-fired spa ( on request and in addition of €30 see below). Talk to you soon Other things to note Small details about the amenities: - the basin: It is a biological and ecological filtration basin. Have you ever tasted a river bath? Clear, cool and toning water? This is exactly what you will be doing in this natural pool. In fact, the water cannot be heated. In summer, it is between 20°C and 25°C and in spring it is... cool! But if you test the Nordic bath, the cold hot alternation is excellent for health! A real experience! The pool is accessible during your stay from 8am to 8pm in summer. - Spa: It is a Nordic spa that heats over a wood fire. Also if you want a bath, you will need to notify us before your arrival and at least 12 hours before to book your session. Indeed, the heating time is... ecological! It is located in the garden overlooking the natural basin. A 40-minute slot awaits you by reservation with a supplement of €30. Please let us know when you would like to take advantage of this. In summer, and for temperatures above 25° C, the use of the hot tub is not pleasant because it is too hot (40° C). It is not possible to stay in it for more than 5 minutes which makes the heating unsuitable from an ecological point of view. The hot tub is therefore not offered in summer except weather permitting. You will be asked for a supplement of €30. - the natural swimming pool is a fragile balance. It is therefore advisable to rinse before swimming and not to have cream or body oil. It cannot be privatised and remains freely accessible to guests of the 3 accommodations and residents of La Tortillera. - The tent is equipped with a dry toilet in a small cabin located a few meters away. - Massages and care will be practiced according to your desire, in the tent, but still in the orchard, we adapt. We should be notified at least 48 hours in advance so that we can organise ourselves. The care is provided by external workers, I cannot guarantee availability. - Our Domaine is a "micro-farm" active with market gardening, beekeeping, animals. Rest assured, they are all adorable but it is advisable to be careful. - If the temperatures get too cool, we can make available a space heater. - The accommodation is equipped with a charcoal barbecue. If you want to grill some meat, remember to bring the necessary equipment to make a fire. If you forgot, I can offer you a BBQ bucket with everything you need for €10 - The accommodation is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine. You have 2 capsules per breakfast (for 2), beyond that and without breakfast, remember to bring your capsules. In general, we have tried to offer you a moment of "water and nature" escape that is most respectful of the place, and to minimize the ecological impact.
