Thatched Cottage Clapton is a stunning period house which has been extensively refurbished and tastefully modernised. If you are looking for a little peace and quiet in a wonderful setting, this rural hideaway is the answer. So easily accessible, tranquility awaits you in this small piece of paradise. Our Guest Suite is entered through the main house via a private staircase. Continental breakfast of muesli, fresh juice, warm croissants or toast, homemade jam & marmalade and eaten en suite. The space Thatched Cottage is situated in a quiet hamlet of Clapton, in an outstanding rural location surrounded by undulating farm and woodland in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A haven for walkers and countryside lovers. Access is from a quite lane to gravelled parking. Guest access The Guest Suite is the largest room in the house, and guests will find all they need within including Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, mini fridge, satellite TV and superfast broadband. Guests are welcome to enjoy the benefits of the beautiful garden with prior consent from the host. During your stay The host lives on site in the main house and is available for any questions or suggestions on local walks, transport, shopping or entertainment. If you would like warm croissants delivered to your door for breakfast just let Jenny know the night before. Other things to note The Guest Suite is large (24' x 16') with ensuite bathroom & shower room. A super king bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet will provide a comfortable nights’ sleep. Then wake up to stunning views on both sides of the house over open countryside. The bathroom has been tastefully installed and includes a roll top bath, large corner shower and luxurious bath towels. We also include some complimentary bathroom products. The room has Sky TV, wardrobe and a small dining table and two chairs. The dining table doubles as a useful workstation. We have Gigaclear broadband plus iPhone and Ipad charging points in the room.
