The space Of the three spacious queen bedrooms, 2 include ensuite bathrooms - one of which is wheelchair accessible.  Another 2 bedrooms and a third bathroom in the hallway makes this a great value holiday home to escape to with family or friends.  A large double garage with internal access allows easy movement between the house and car in any weather, along with plenty of storage for water sport or ski gear.  The laundry includes washing machine and clothes dryer.   Situated a leisurely 15 minute walk from the lakefront & Tekapo village centre shops & cafes. Autahi is the Māori name for Canopus, the second‑brightest star in the night sky that never sets over Lake Tekapo — symbolising the house’s connection to Tekapo's famed dark sky reserve. Guest access The living areas of the house are wheelchair friendly and convenient for elderly guests. Please note however, unfortunately the house is not suitable for electric wheelchairs. Other things to note Linen, towels and cleaning is included in the nightly rate, for the booked number of guests. To ensure that we provide the correct linen please include the total number of guests when booking, including children. We ask that you are mindful about your bed choice when staying, as additional costs will be charged for beds used in excess of the number of guests booked. Infants under 2 years are welcome and are free in a port-a-cot (also available for hire @ $10/stay - please request). For stays less than 5 nights your accommodation is un-serviced, therefore all supplies & linen initially provided are for the duration of your stay. Extra supplies can be purchased at the local supermarket.
