This is one of very few pedestrian-friendly areas in the city: you can walk to cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, spas, shopping, parks, museums, the grocery store, the farmers' market, and public transport. Additionally, the airport is just a 5 to 10 minute drive and both I-25 and I-40 are a 3 minute drive. I-25 and I-40 are both within a couple of minutes' drive and the airport is a 5 to 10 minute drive. The major bus routes of Lomas, Central, 4th St and 12th St are all within walking distance. The Downtown Rail Runner station, for the train to Santa Fe, is less than a mile away.
