Taxes included in rate! This cozy home is located in the gated community of Elk Point, Nevada side of South Tahoe. It is wonderfully decorated & has plenty of room for your family to enjoy. The two single beds are best suited to children so occupancy is limited to 6 adults. The home is 3 miles from Stateline casinos & the Heavenly Village/Ski Resort. Safeway supermarket is just up the street. There is a large sandy private neighborhood beach which is a short walk away. VHR# DSTR1036P The house has a wonderfully cozy feel with a modern kitchen and wonderful dining area. The yard is fenced with grass so great for families. There is a big family bedroom which is like 2 separate bedrooms only with no door between them so perfect if you have little ones. There is a small 3 person hot tub on the back deck. Guests have access to the whole house with the exception of the garage which is locked off. There is a carport to park underneath. A strict maximum of 3 cars are permitted and must display county parking passes. I live close by so am available to you should you need anything during your stay. Upon check-in I will come by the house to collect the signed forms required by Douglas County and the HOA. The house is located in the private, gated community of Elk Point. The neighborhood consists of approximately 95 homes. There is a large, private, neighborhood beach with volley ball court and roped off swim area. To the south of the neighborhood is Nevad Beach, and to the north is Round Hill Pines Beach. There is a bike trail nearby as well as hiking trails. This is an older Tahoe neighborhood with narrow streets and no street parking available. As the neighborhood is run by an HOA, there are rules on house occupancy, noise, and parking. To ensure a wonderful vacation, please be sure to review the rules which are included in the Policy and Rules documents when you book. It is best to have a car while you are here as the public transportation of South Lake Tahoe is not easily accessible from the house. There are taxis, Lyft and Uber in the area. During the winter months it is recommended to have either a 4WD or carry chains as mountain driving can be hazardous during winter storms and roads may have chain requirements. If you reservation is during winter months, be sure to familiarize yourself with winter driving preparedness. The Round Hill Shopping Center is located just up the street. It has a Safeway supermarket, dollar store, post office, restaurants, nail salon and a 24Hr Fitness gym. There are also walking trails you can access right from the neighborhood. The greatest summertime perk is the private neighborhood beach!!!! It is large and sandy with a roped off swim area. SNOW REMOVAL NOTE: Whether you came to Lake Tahoe to hit the slopes, build a snowman, or simply to relax by the fire, staying at a private home there are a few added responsibilities in regards to snow removal during your stay. I provide snow shovels and ice melt which are located next to the front door. If there is a snow storm during your stay of more than 5 inches someone will come by to clear snow in the parking area. I will also come by to help clear the front and back deck usually within 12 hours. You may have to dig your way out if you need to leave before the snow can be cleared. The neighborhood roads are plowed by the HOA caretaker and Elk Point Road, past the neighborhood gate, is plowed by the County and usually cleared at least once a day during a storm. Highway 50 is cleared on a regular basis during storms. During storm periods I make sure to stay in contact with guests regarding local conditions to make sure they have any vital information regarding the weather and road conditions.
