Stunning Log House on a Private Lake

This magnificent log house with towering ceilings and fine stonework opens onto an old barn foundation. It is nestled above a beautiful private lake with over 300 acres of forest which can be explored by wandering along the miles of private trails. The entire house is appointed with fine furniture and decorated with interesting and unique features. Each of the three bedrooms follows our family history around the globe - China, India, and historical Canada. The space The main floor is ideally suited for guests with mobility challenges as there are no steps or stairs to enter the house, move throughout the kitchen, living room, dining room, TV room, a bedroom and full en suite, and onto the large outside deck which overlooks the barn foundation and lake. The lake has no motorized boats but a canoe, pedal boat, sit-on kayak, and other water "toys" are provided for guest use. Guest access The whole place is yours to enjoy and discover. The waterfront is well equipped with a large dock, a sitting deck, and a shelter area. There are several loungers and chairs for relaxing, sunbathing, and snoozing. A canoe, pedal boat, sit-on kayak, swim noodles, and other toys are for guests of The Log House to enjoy. We provide some life jackets but remind guests that life jackets must be properly sized in order to function safely. Bringing one's own life jacket is always best. Accessing the waterfront may be challenging for those with mobility issues - the pathway descends about 30 feet. Other things to note In order to maintain the peace and quiet of this lake, please note that ATVs, motorboats, snowmobiles and other off-road motorized vehicles are not to be used on the property. Snowmobilers please note that the Kinmount Staging Area is only a five minute drive away and is a great spot to access the hundreds of kilometers of trails.
