Description

* PLEASE READ ENTIRE ADVERT CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING * Comfy double sofabed (120x190cm) in my bright & cozy living room. I am a live-in host & the living room is a passageway to the bathroom/outside - I always try to minimise disturbance, but you won't have total privacy. Kitchen use for accessing water & fridge & making coffee - no cooking, sorry! I usually only accept guests with at least 2 positive reviews. Suitable only for guests who plan to stay out all day. Come to visit London! :) The space * PLEASE READ ENTIRE ADVERT & CONDITIONS BEFORE BOOKING! * My compact apartment is made up of an entrance corridor, bathroom, living room with small double sofabed for guests, internal corridor, kitchen and my bedroom (not accessible to guests). The apartment is quirky and original, within the setting of a 19C building block. It could probably do with some TLC at some point - a lick of paint, sorting out some mold in the bathroom ceiling and maybe wooden floors rather than carpets. But it's very central, clean, comfortable and tidy - I like it :) The block is historic and has a lot of quirks and things that don't work every now and then - if you're prepared to be flexible, this is the place for you! If you expect all mod cons - my place is unlikely to be right for you!! :)) The area is safe, in the centre of London in Zone 1, very well connected by public transport and has lots of amenities within a 15 mins' walk radius - supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops. Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Knightsbridge are all within approx. 15 min bus ride or 30 min walk. There are parking spaces in the roads outside, which are accessible for an hourly fee. You can park for free in some bays on weekdays between 18.31-8.29 + between Saturday at 12.31 until Monday morning at 8.29. Spaces are usually pretty easy to find within a short walking distance. Guest access * PLEASE READ ENTIRE ADVERT & CONDITIONS BEFORE BOOKING! * Guests have access to the living room where the sofabed is, the bathroom and the kitchen for cold food storage/water (no cooking, sorry). Given the living room is a passageway from my bedroom to the bathroom and from the internal areas to the outside, you won't have total privacy - as I need to access the bathroom and get in & out of my property. If you are looking for more privacy or to have intimate time alone with your partner, please DO NOT book my property! Suggest you book a private hotel room with a lock instead! :) The other people who will be in the apartment while you are staying are me as I am a live-in host, and you might also see my boyfriend or my sister, as they stay occasionally. You will have sole use of the living room, but I will occasionally need to go through it to get in & out of my property & to access the bathroom, so you won't have total privacy. ** Please send an introduction to yourself and the other guest you're coming with when you send me a booking request - given I host in my home and it's quite a compact apartment, I vet guests to try to ensure that only respectable guests stay in my home ** I usually only accept guests with at least two good references, due to somewhat negative past experiences. However, if prospective guests seem nice/respectful/fun/cool people, sometimes I make an exception & accept guests who are new to Airbnb. I also rarely accept requests from one or two men, for safety reasons. However, again, if people seem cool/respectful/give out a good vibe, I sometimes make an exception. ** My accommodation is only suitable for considerate, flexible budget travellers who need a safe & central place to sleep, but will stay out all day ** Guests are required to leave the apartment during standard daytime hours of 9.00-18.00 & eat all their meals outside. This applies seven days a week - depending on the day, I might be able to be flexible with this. If this is not suitable for you, please do not book my property. I don't allow use of the kitchen for cooking - due to a guest who nearly burnt down my place! Guests can obviously access the kitchen to get water or store cold food in the fridge. I value my privacy, so don't allow guests into my own bedroom. * Guests are not allowed to bring any visitors under any circumstances, aside from those staying * If you wish to change the guest that will come with you, you will need to ask my permission - as this could invalidate your booking. ** This is not a hotel. It is my home. Please treat it with the respect you treat your own home, please respect my privacy like I will respect yours and please do not open my wardrobe and drawers! ** Other things to note * PLEASE READ ENTIRE ADVERT & CONDITIONS BEFORE BOOKING! * - The hot and cold water taps in the bath both work normally. The shower is a bit temperamental - Mine is an eco-friendly home where use of heating, lighting and water is comfortable but actively minimised - so guests are requested to ensure they make reasonable use of electricity, water and heating - Please ensure you turn off appliances, lighting, water taps when you've finished using a room or when leaving the apartment to go out or when going to sleep - If you are a guest who is usually cold or needs the heating for hours, please don't send a booking request as my apartment won't be suitable for you - If guests cause an excessive spike in bills when they stay, they will be counter-charged for the extra bills expenditure generated by their stay - Guests need to be considerate of the fact that they are sharing a small apartment with me, the host - so this is not the place to be if you are the type of guest that wants to take long showers in the morning. I need to get ready for my day in the morning too and I also need to use the same bathroom, so short showers and short use of the bathroom need to be the norm on both sides - Use of the kitchen for cooking, use of the oven or cooker is not allowed. Use of the kitchen for short periods of time to get water, store cold food in the fridge, making coffee or using the microwave for short (5min) periods is fine, provided guests clean after themselves. Using the microwave for long periods or for cooking is not allowed. - The apartment is small, so not suitable for guests with a lot of luggage or large luggage (total 2 pieces of medium-sized luggage max.) - Guests are required to leave the apartment during standard daytime hours of 9.00-18.00 approx. & eat all their meals outside. This applies seven days a week - depending on the day, I might be able to be flexible with this. If this is not suitable for you, please do not book my property - Check-in is at 17.00-19.00 and check-out is at 10.00. I may be able to be flexible with the check-in and check-out times if my schedule allows it, but this is not guaranteed - As I freelance and depending on work commitments, I can sometimes let guests in to drop-off or pick up their luggage during the day. Again, this is not guaranteed and it depends on what I am doing on the day of arrival & departure.
