Nestled between the trees, facing Lake Michigan lies a newly built (2017) lake house. Not to be easily seen from the road, you are greeted with a wide, gravel/dirt driveway. Walking up the short stairway to the beautiful carved glass entrance of the lake house, you'll open the door to a captivating entryway with marble floors. The kitchen (well water) is just to the left, filled with all your basic necessities. Brand new (2017) appliances: refrigerator, electric stove, dishwasher, coffee maker and even a precision induction cook top. Plates, cups, bowls, pots/pans and silverware are all fresh and ready to make your family vacation as easy and comfortable as possible. The Lake House Oasis has plenty of counter-top space, while looking out at beautiful Lake Michigan. Guest access Freshwater Vacation Rentals will email your arrival/departure instructions with door/lock box code. You will let yourselves in and out. The house is yours during your stay, enjoy and relax. Ceiling fans are in each bedroom Animals: Squirrels, bats, rabbits, birds, coyotes, racoons, etc. ATV/Snowmobiles: ATV/Snowmobiles: Cannot snowmobile from the property. Closest trail is Trail #2, 6.4 miles from house (intersection of Hwy 2 & Tannery Rd.) or Trail #421, 6.6 miles from house (intersection of Hwy 2 & County Hwy 432). Bathroom: (Well water) 1) Off the main floor living room, you'll find a convenient bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. 2) Another main floor bathroom is located between the 2 bedrooms, just off the game room area. 3) Upstairs bathroom located between the 2 bedrooms. Beach/Swimming: At the main level of the house, you will find the easiest access the Lake Michigan. Take the walkway to a large sandy beach with great swimming! Bedroom Configuration: 1) Lower Level - 1 queen bedroom. Direct entry to the walkway down to the beach. 2) Lower Level - 2 sets of bunk beds. One set of bunk beds has a full bed on the bottom and a twin on top. The other bunk bed has 2 twin beds. Direct entry to the walkway down to the beach. **This room is not advisable for curious young children sleeping alone.** 3) Upstairs 1 queen bed 4) Upstairs 1 queen bed Boats: Kayaks for adult use from Memorial Day to Labor Day. (Please use extreme caution when kayaking on Lake Michigan.) Bugs: Typical flies, Mosquitoes, and ants. Cable/Satellite TVs: TV with Dish Network. There is also a Blu-ray DVD player to enjoy your time relaxing. There is a ROKU Tv with streaming. Guest must bring their own account information. Dock: There is not a dock on this property. Fire Pit: Yes there is an above ground portable fire pit at the property, wood not provided Fireplace: There is an electric fireplace for you to enjoy. Fishing: Bring your poles. Indian Lake State Park is approximately 30 minutes away offering a great place to fish. Game fish include perch, walleye, northern pike, muskellunge, rock bass, smallmouth bass, bluegill, sturgeon and brown trout. Fishing License: You can purchase your fishing license online at the Michigan DNR website. Grill: Propane grill on the patio. Handicap Accessible: Not wheelchair friendly. Guest must be able to navigate stairs to gain entrance to the property. Hunting: Not Onsite Internet: WiFi is present throughout this lake house. Linens: Yes, we provide you with basic sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are particular about the thread count of your sheets, let us know, and we will make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed. Winter Activities: * Snowmobiling - Manistique Snowmobile Trails Distance: Snowmobile trails are about 5 miles of the house * Ice Fishing - Lake Michigan – Manistique Lake and nearby areas are great for ice fishing in the winter months. Distance: About 5 miles (within the Manistique area). * Cross-Country Skiing - Manistique Lakes Trail Distance: 5-10 miles from house * Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding - Snowbound Ski Resort – Located about 30 miles (around a 45-minute drive) to the north, this resort offers downhill skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. * Winter Hiking - Indian Lake State Park Distance: About 10 miles (15-20 minutes by car). * Winter Festivals & Events -Manistique Winter Events – Manistique and surrounding areas often host winter festivals, including ice sculpture displays and community events.
