The space Studio 502 is a separate space, above a garage - built in 2016. It is very comfortable and private. We make every effort to be respectful of guests' privacy. The open floor plan features a queen-size bed, plus a comfy daybed. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, small convection oven, 2-burner convection cooktop, coffeemaker and toaster. Plates, utensils, condiments, etc., provided. For your coffee and tea needs, you'll also find some milk from a local dairy. Sunny exposure and mountain views complete the picture. Built in the Craftsman style, the studio has a warm vibe and will offer instant relaxation. If you don't feel like cooking, there are many area restaurants from which to choose. There's also a gas grill for prepping outdoor meals. It's stored away during the colders months, but we're happy to set it up if requested. The studio has proven to be very comfortable for several long-term renters. We offer very attractive savings for you on stays 28 nights or longer. Owners live on the same parcel (their house is about 100 feet away across the driveway) and can assist with any needs guests may have. If you are interested I recommendations for dining or shopping, we are pleased to offer ideas. The studio has a list of many dining options. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. Many of our guests come to the Catskills for outdoor recreation. Simply head out of the studio on foot and enjoy a pleasant walk in the woods or the stunning views afforded by a hike on the "Huckleberry Loop." Unlimited hiking opportunities throughout the Catskills - from easy to challenging — the choice is yours! If you enjoy biking, cycling around the nearby Pepacton Reservoir is very pleasant - largely flat terrain and little vehicle traffic. Beautiful, too! When it's time to get out and enjoy Catskill Mountain winter recreation, there's GREAT skiing at Belleayre Mountain - just 11 miles. Plattekill Mtn. in Roxbury is about 17 miles. Unlimited state and city-owned land to enjoyer hiking just minutes from the studio. If you're in the mood for an indoor workout, the Catskill Recreation Center in Arkville is a state-of-the-art swimming and workout facility with very reasonable day-use rates. Our mountainside fire pit area offers plenty of privacy and lovely sunset views. The perfect space to end a day in the Catskills with a beer or a glass of wine. Guest access The studio is separate from the main house and guests have access to the entire upstairs space. Hang out in the sunny studio or get out and enjoy the surrounding nature - either choice has its own rewards. If you want to unwind, loft is a perfect spot to achieve your goal. Please note, we take great pride in having a super clean rental - and since the onset of the coronavirus outbreak, we go to even greater lengths to make sure all surfaces are disinfected to ensure the safety of our guests. Our only request is that guests not wear outdoor shoes into the studio - socks or slippers preferred indoors to help keep things clean. Other things to note We're a bit off the beaten path, but that's part of the charm. This is a truly special spot and guests find the location enchanting and inspirational. There is no cell service, but you can utilize wifi calling. The studio also has a landline with free long distance calling - even though guests seem perfectly happy to just be away from it all. For winter visits, 4WD is absolutely recommended as our property is located up a half-mile up a winding, private road. It is plowed and sanded, as needed. With AWD, you'll be fine...we drive it every day!
