Groot Witzenberg is under new management and is currently closed for an extensive programme of upgrades and renovations. We will reopen on 1 September 2026, unveiling a thoughtfully reimagined premium luxury farm-stay experience in one of Tulbagh’s most breathtaking natural settings. The space Over the coming months, we will be restoring and enhancing what makes Groot Witzenberg truly special: its exceptional heritage Cape Dutch architecture, carefully preserved and elevated with contemporary comforts and refined finishes. At the heart of the home, guests can expect a professionally equipped kitchen, designed to delight serious cooks and private chefs alike. Beyond the house, the farm is being opened up in exciting new ways. We are creating private outdoor recreational areas and gardens, along with new hiking and mountain-biking routes that wind through the landscape.
