The space Welcome to our cozy 500 sq ft studio—your perfect getaway near KY Lake and Birdsong Creek! This charming space features a full bathroom, a comfy queen-sized bed, a brand new futon, and blackout curtains to help you sleep in and relax. Our front yard is perfect for you to park your boat or jet skis. The put in is 3 mins from our house. We’ve recently added a brand new sectional (as of January 2023), perfect for lounging after a day of adventure. You'll find the studio clean and well-stocked with plush bath towels, plenty of pillows, and a linen closet filled with extra blankets, sheets, and towels—just in case you need them. Love to cook? Our eat-in kitchen has everything you need, including a microwave, toaster oven, 16-inch convection oven (great for pizzas or baking), blender, crock pot, and three hot plates—ideal for whipping up breakfast or a simple dinner. We’ve also stocked it with coffee (plus filters, sugar, and creamer), cooking oil, salt and pepper. You’ll even find body wash, shampoo, conditioner and laundry detergent to make your stay extra comfortable. There is a full size refrigerator and an outdoor grill (bring charcoal). The nearest grocery store, Cost Saver or Walmart, is a 15-20 minute drive. There are actually two houses on our property, each situated 50 ft from each other, and while we may or may not be at our place during your stay, you'll have plenty of privacy either way. If we are around, we mostly spend time on the back deck of our home, so chances are you won’t even notice us. That said, we’re always happy to help if you need anything—just let us know! Otherwise, we’ll respect your space and leave you to enjoy your stay. **Please note that house is not located on water. Water shown in pictures is 1/8th of a mile from the house.** FIBER OPTIC CABLE - We now have Fiber Optic Cable with 100Mbps, which is perfect for Work from Home professionals and a smart TV. You can automatically access YouTube TV. For use of any streaming service, you will need to know your password. BUSINESS TRAVELERS: This location is about 20 minutes to major corporations such as TVA, Chemours, Matheson Gas, Scepter, OxyChem, etc. GOATS: We have a fun and unique little feature on the property—our goats! They're usually out in their pasture, happily doing their thing (mostly munching grass and being entertaining). The pasture is safely enclosed with an electric fence to keep them where they need to be and to help keep our lawn nice and tidy. You'll see signs around the yard noting the fence is electric, just as a heads-up. The pasture is set back a good 50+ feet from the house, but we do recommend keeping an eye on little ones and pets while you're outside, just to be safe. We hope you enjoy watching the goats as much as we do—they add a little charm and character to your stay! PET FEE & A Friendly Note for Pet Parents We love welcoming well-behaved pets and want to keep our cottage pet-friendly for all our guests! There’s a $70 pet fee per stay for furry friends joining you in the cottage. To help us keep the space clean and cozy for everyone, we kindly ask that you follow a few simple guidelines: 🐾 Limit of 2 dogs, each under 60 lbs 🐾 Please keep pets off the furniture and beds 🐾 If you leave them alone in the cottage, we ask that they be kenneled There’s a great public beach nearby, and we think your pups will love splashing around in the lake! Just be sure to bring along some extra beach towels to dry them off before heading back inside. Thanks so much for your understanding—we truly appreciate your help in keeping our space comfortable for every guest (two-legged and four-legged alike)! **All docks are privately owned by homeowners. Guest access You'll have the entire cottage all to yourself to relax and unwind during your getaway. A keypad on the door makes check-in easy and hassle-free—no keys to keep track of! We do have Wi-Fi available, and you can connect using your phone or laptop. The TV is a smart TV, and we also using YouTube TV to access local channels, and an HDMI cable if you’d like to hook up your own device. Just a heads-up—you may need your own adapter depending on your laptop model. Feel free to bring along your favorite streaming stick (like Roku, Apple TV, or Hulu) if you'd like more viewing options besides the YouTube TV app. We also suggest downloading a few of your favorite movies or shows ahead of time—just in case we get one of those cozy, rainy Tennessee nights! Other things to note We’ve stocked the cottage with a few essentials to make your stay extra comfortable! You’ll find a coffee maker along with coffee, filters, sugar, and cream to start your mornings right. We also provide cooking basics like oil, salt, and pepper, plus bath soap, shampoo, and laundry detergent for your convenience. There's a standard-sized refrigerator ready for your groceries, so feel free to bring whatever you need to make yourself feel at home!
