Pet-friendly coastal home w. semi-private pool, walk to beach Half-hidden by lush tropical foliage, Crescent Street 1138 B is paradise for anyone who longs to relax in time-honored Florida style. Just a few blocks from Siesta Key’s quartz-white beach and the renowned Point of Rocks, the pet-friendly duplex is a haven in and of itself. The first thing you’ll notice as you drive up is the house’s huge paved driveway. What a relief not to have to fuss about parking… or to battle traffic simply to hit the beach. You can leave your car here and stroll back and forth to the sands and the Gulf of Mexico anytime you want. Walk around the back of the house and you’ll find Crescent Street 1138 B’s curvaceous swimming pool. When you’re not splashing in the water, you can laze on a chair on the poolside patio, drying off in the sun or keeping cool in the shade. And along the side of the duplex is a large charcoal grill and a table for dining alfresco. If ever a house was made for enjoying an all-day cookout with friends and family, it’s this one. Should you want a break from all that Florida sunshine, you can step into the enclosed lanai. Pull down the shades, stretch out on the well-cushioned sectional sofa, and treat yourself to a nap—we won’t tell! Or you can watch the big game on the lanai’s large flat-screen TV. You’ll find another large flat-screen TV in Crescent Street 1138 B’s living/dining area. With its tiled floors (so refreshing beneath bare feet!) and serene color palette, this space is an ideal respite after a day on the go. Nestle on the couches and watch your favorite cable shows, surf the web via the complimentary WiFi, or play Uno with the kids; in other words, make yourself at home. When you’re not eating outside in the yard you can gather at the indoor dining table, which seats 4 with room to spare. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, and tableware. Even if you eat most of your meals in restaurants, you’ll still appreciate the convenience of having a fridge to keep milk and wine cold, a coffeemaker for that all-important morning cup of joe, and a blender for mixing up a batch of daiquiris to savor among the palm trees. Crescent Street 1138 B’s bedroom includes a sumptuous king-size bed and plenty of storage. (If you’d rather pack light, however, feel free: The house has its own washer and dryer.) One of the living area’s sofas opens into a bed for 2, so that the house can sleep 4 people in all—plus a 4-legged friend or 2 as well. The bathroom has a combination shower/tub and a large vanity with dual sinks and plenty of space for all your toiletries. You could easily have a magical vacation without leaving the grounds of Crescent Street 1138 B. But then you’d be missing out on Siesta Key’s sparkling beach, which won TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice award as the best beach in the country. In just 5 minutes you can walk to Point of Rocks, perhaps the most acclaimed and most beautiful part of the beach. Its relatively shallow waters, popular with novice snorkelers, are home to coral formations, crabs, fish, and even small octopuses. Elsewhere you can paddleboard, parasail, canoe, kayak, boogie board, jet ski, and of course, swim, fish, and search for shells. And at least once you’ll want to experience the sunset over the gulf; the fiery colors reflected in the water is a sight you’ll long remember. If for some reason you tire of the beach (hard to imagine, we know), you can drive over the bay and be in Sarasota in just a few minutes. While there, check out the Ringling art and circus museums and Ca’ d’Zan, the extravagant one-time winter home of John and Mabel Ringling. For anyone who loves sunshine, swimming, surf, and sand, Crescent Street 1138 B is a dream retreat. Make that dream a reality: Book your stay today! Note: Crescent Street 1138 B is one-half of a duplex. The heated pool and grill area are shared with next door's Unit A.
