Inside, the open kitchen and dining area is a favorite gathering place — fully equipped for serious cooks, complete with an induction range, stainless appliances and cookware, generous counter space, and a long farmhouse table that seats up to ten. Massive sliding doors open onto a large deck with outdoor dining and panoramic views of the river, meadow, and Burke Mountain. Outside, you’ll find 5 acres of lawn, private meadow, and riverfront to explore. Follow a path down to the Passumpsic River for a refreshing swim, enjoy a quiet nap in the hammock, or settle in around the fire pit after dinner. In every season, Burke Nest offers space, quiet, and natural beauty. Guest access Guests have full, exclusive access to the entire home, deck, meadow, riverfront, and outdoor amenities. Other things to note NEIGHBOURHOOD CONTEXT While the home feels private and secluded with expansive mountain and meadow views, it sits on a somewhat main road in a small cluster of historic homes. Please be respectful of our neighbors, especially during evening hours. Quiet hours are from 10pm–8am. This is not a party house. SEASONAL NOTES Winter stays: the driveway is kept cleared of snow; access is generally easy as it's right off a main road Summer stays: river water levels vary with weather, but a dip in the small river is almost always available A/C window unit in the main bedroom only; portable fans are provided throughout SAFETY AND SECURITY --Exterior security camera facing the parking/entrance (no interior cameras) --Smoke + CO detectors, fire extinguisher, first aid kit BOOKING NOTES Please enter the correct number of guests when booking, and update if plans change.
