Host is 3x-vaccinated & boosted. Quiet, peaceful, snug, cozy room in an older, rustic, cottage-style house with garden/patio access in a safe, wooded neighborhood. Private entry, private bedroom & private bathroom. Very comfortable queen-sized bed. Driveway parking. Near Stanford, downtown Palo Alto/Menlo Park, tech & social media companies. Easy access to Hwy. 101. Perfect for the commuter. No smoking in/outdoors. Please do not buzz neighbor's gate. Please read the house rules. The space Warm, peaceful atmosphere for 1-2 guests. Private entrance in a charming, older house with a country feeling. Private shower and bathroom. Kitchen-corner with mini-fridge (stocked with bottle water and juice), microwave oven, coffee maker (coffee supplied), regular & decaf tea. For those traveling light...shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, use of hairdryer, etc. Large flat-screen cable TV. Total garden access. Yoga mat in the closet. Luggage racks, bathroom scale to weigh your suitcases, heater, fan, extra blankets, iron and ironing board are in the room as well. Great work-space with desk with excellent Wi-Fi. Guest access There is a beautiful garden and patio where you can sit and enjoy yourself at any time of the day. Enter through the half-gate next to the driveway. No kitchen access but your room has a coffee maker, free coffee and tea, a microwave oven, chocolates, energy bars, instant hot cereal and a mini-fridge stocked with water and juice. There are food trucks at The Willows Market on Monday evenings and at the Menlo Park train station on Wednesday evenings. One time use of the washer and dryer for a $5.00 fee. During your stay I love to interact with my guests and will be around most of the time. The best way to communicate with me is by text/sms. I speak fluent but rusty French and very good conversational Italian and would love to have more guests from France and Italy. Let me know if you need ideas on what to do or where to eat. Also, let me know when we can get to know each other over a cup of coffee or tea, daytime or evening. I'm a night-owl, so it's never too late! Other things to note Keep in mind that this is an older house, so please be gentle with the hot water faucet, the window latch and the on/off switch on the box fan. Please put ONLY toilet paper in the toilet (no feminine hygiene products, kleenex, paper towels, wipes or dental floss). Please turn on the fan while showering. Pleae remember to lock all windows and the door before you leave the house. Please turn off the outside lights before you go to sleep. Not a good fit if you are allergic to cats. If you need to stay longer, I can be flexible, but please do not ask to shorten the length of your stay once that you have arrived. Please do not arrive before 5pm unless you communicate with me first. If I'm available, I can give you a ride to and/or from the Menlo Park train station and bus stops. No smoking inside or outside.
