Self service check-in and check-out. You can also feel good about renting our place as we donate 10% of our income from our rentals to various charities. The space Off Season Work and Family Travel Rentals: After the Labor Day weekend up to fishing opener the following year the dock will be pulled in and all the lake toys tucked away for the winter; however, this is still a great place to hang out while in town visiting family or celebrating holidays or a great place to stay when you're in the area for business. If you have ice fishermen in the family, it could be a great place too. Our reservations allows for 6 adult guests. That would include parents and a couple of kids but we'd be ok with a couple of extra kids 12 and under. Let us know what crew you've got. Take Note: Registered guests only on the property. Sorry but only in very limited situations will we allow local family or friends to visit you at the place. Reach out to us to request permission. The property is a 3-bedroom house on a great lot with 100 ft of shoreline on the western shore of Eagle Lake, only 4 miles north of Willmar on Hwy 71. There is 300 ft of lawn between the house and the lake for all the backyard fun when you are not playing in the lake. The lake front has no beach; however, the lake bottom is sandy near the shore and off the end of the dock which are great places to play in the water. Our grandkids love lake days playing in the water, jumping off the dock, and floating in the tubes and on the raft. The lake is only about 3 feet deep for the whole length of the dock so the lake front is very kid friendly. There are areas with squishy clay bottom and it can be a bit weedy depending on the time of year. We try our best to keep the weeds away but there are some days the lake wins. Also, depending on the time of year and direction of the wind, there are times when moss and weeds blow in on the water. We have a beach rake by the patio you can use to clean that out of your way if needed. The place has really easy access via the Hwy 71 frontage road (the downside being there is highway noise). A great place for a quick trip to the Willmar area while you visit family or a week of lake fun that avoids the hassles of going “Up North.” Feel free to bring your own lake toys; however, we do have a selection of tubes and floats. There is a public boat launch within 2 miles of the property if you would like to bring your own boat. We have a pontoon by the dock that you can use as a sun deck. Sorry, but we aren't offering the pontoon for guests to take out on the lake. We are having some difficulties with the motor and we don't want to strand anyone on the lake when we aren't in town to help out. :-( Our cleaning fee includes the use of 2 beds. We have more beds so if you need them we'd ask that you launder the bedding for the extra beds used and our house keeper will make up the beds. Service or Emotional Support dogs may have been on the property: We have a no pet policy so we can accommodate folks like us with pet dander sensitivities and allergies however Airbnb does require us to allow service or emotional support dogs on the property. For those folks with sensitivities or allergies to animal dander, know we do take extra effort, at our expense, to clean the property after a guest with a service dog but we do apologize if you have any adverse reaction. Unfortunately it is nearly impossible to completely and absolutely remove dander but we can let you know how long it's been since a dog has stayed on the property. **A couple of notable house rules: SMOKING No smoking of any kind anywhere on the property. Smoking at the end of the driveway is also unacceptable. OCCUPANCY 6 guests max. We only allow registered guests in the place or on the property so no parties or gatherings. We are trying to be kind to our neighbors by requesting quiet and neighborly folks to stay at our place. Also, Airbnb has had some bad press lately about folks renting properties for parties and we are trying hard to avoid those situation. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property. Other things to note We are always improving the house and property so pardon our mess in some areas as there may be some projects in process and somewhat incomplete but everything will be safe and functional. Lakeside living so take care when on the property. Watch carefully over the kids near the lake.
