The Acorn Cottage Oak Harbor

Relax at our peaceful island getaway in this quaint 2 bedroom 1 bathroom home. Enjoy a bbq dinner on the private patio in the summertime, or curl up with a book by the cozy gas fireplace in the winter. The Acorn Cottage is centrally located near dining and shopping on historic Pioneer Way in central Oak Harbor. The home is a 15-20 minute drive from Deception Pass State Park to the north and the historic Town of Coupeville to the south. The space The Acorn Cottage is a 2-bedroom bungalow with a custom kitchen, 1 bathroom, and a large living room. We also have a private patio area where you can enjoy coffee, wine, or a meal. Guest access You have access to the house, patio and garden. There is a BBQ for your use on the patio. There is no guest access to the garage or the back storage room of the house. Cyclists! If you want to bring bikes to explore the area, please let us know in advance. Bikes are not allowed inside the house, but we can arrange to have you store them in the locked garage. Other things to note The main part of the Acorn Cottage was built in approximately 1914, and there are some quirks with houses of that age. The main bedroom is a comfortable size, but the second bedroom is on the smaller side. The floors are not perfectly level, and the house does get a little drafty in the colder months. The slippers, wall heaters, and gas fireplace should keep you cozy, though! We do have a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and other entertainment apps. You can log in with your own account to use these services. We do not have cable TV. Per Airbnb regulations, we ask that the person who books the reservation be the guest (or one of the guests) who stays at the Acorn Cottage. Only guests on the original booking allowed on the property. NO parties, events, or gatherings allowed. Please note this is a small house, and it is only set up for four people. If you are in town visiting family and want to get together with a larger group, there are many lovely parks and/or restaurants in the area.
