Experience the calming beauty and quiet of the countryside while being conveniently located near Vergennes, Middlebury, and the Basin Harbor. The area is popular for biking, hiking, swimming, and kayaking. Rikert Nordic Ski Center and Mad River Glen are each just a 45 minute drive away. The space Julie’s Place was designed with you in mind. Our guests have a separate entrance off of a Zen rock garden. We offer two, second floor bedrooms, each with their own private baths. Each bedroom has a picture windows from which you can watch the sunset over the mountains. One suite has a king sized bed. The other has two, extra-long twin beds. You will sleep on a luxurious latex mattress, in between designer sheets, and with your choice of down or down alternative pillows. The bedroom floors are cherrywood. You can easily set the heat or air conditioning to your desired temperature as your suite has its own dedicated thermostat. Your bathroom boasts a free standing Victoria + Albert bathtub with phone shower. It also contains a separate shower stall and comfort height toilet. The bathroom lighting can be dimmed and the floor can be heated. Outside the bathroom is a large granite vanity top and sink with locally crafted cherrywood cabinets and a wall-to-wall mirror. The two suites share access to the "hospitality counter" located on the stair landing. It features a Keurig coffee machine, electric kettle, microwave, and mini fridge. It is stocked with light breakfast food (yogurt, fruit, cereal) and snacks, dishes, mugs, and utensils. Guest access Access to the guest suites is separate from the rest of the house. Guests are welcome to enjoy the yard/18 acre meadow we are located on. During your stay Julia lives at the other end of the house and is available in person, or by phone/text. Happy to offer recommendations for dining and local, outdoor activities. Other things to note We look forward to sharing with you our gorgeous home and some of the best views in all of Vermont.
