The Oculus Tinyhouse at Innisfree Farms

Description

Innisfree Farms is a rural retreat in northern West Virginia with five dwellings on a 70 acre farm. The Oculus, with a huge picture window, is the perfect country getaway for solos or couples. Everything you'll need and nothing you won't, including a comfy bed, a beautiful view, full facilities, and the great outdoors. 5 minutes to Oglebay Park and 15 to Wheeling - but private, pet-friendly, and welcoming. One cozy Murphy bed-read, hike, think, or just enjoy a campfire and nature. The space This Oculus at Innisfree Farms is our most popular space. It's for two -- with one queen, Murphy bed (three if that third person is very small), and sits is in a wonderful spot on a 70 acre former horse farm. It is 350 feet from any other dwelling and its outside space is private and secluded. There are trails to walk, two ponds, deer, ducks, geese and other wildlife. You'll have an outdoor fire ring, a 15x15 covered area, dining table and excellent seclusion and privacy. Guests have really enjoyed watching the stars and the weather through the huge window, exploring the wooded trails and visits from the abundant wildlife. Dog friendly! The kitchen is minimalist, with an electric burner (hot plate) an air fryer and small fridge. You have a toilet sink and shower in the bathroom with a mini-split for AC/Heat and supplemental electric heat for a warm bathroom! Need more space? Innisfree Farms has another tinyhouse ("The Lost Tiny at Innisfree Farms), a three-bedroom cabin ("the Cabin by the Lake at Innisfree Farms") and a large five-bedroom house ("The Estate House at Innisfree Farms") available on AirBnB and other places on the web. Another three-bedroom converted horse barn is coming in 2023! Extended family reunions are some of our happiest visitors because of the ability of people to be together, while also having some private space. These independently-bookable dwellings are spread across over 72 acres at Innisfree Farms West Virginia and all enjoy excellent privacy along with easy walkability between each. The site is rustic with some steps into the tinyhouse and the Murphy bed requires some strength to lift into its upright position. But there are full bathroom facilities, air conditioning, TV and fast wifi. You can purchase firewood from us or bring your own if you like -- if you want to use the charcoal grill though please bring charcoal we do not stock that. Guest access You have the Oculus to yourself and a large covered area next to it with a fire ring, chairs, table, and a charcoal grill. The property is over 70 acres with just five widely-spaced units so you have tremendous space to explore and privacy as well. We are pet friendly and dogs love it here. Other things to note There is a gravel drive right to the tinyhouse, but in tough winter conditions 4WD or AWD will really help. Any vehicle that rides very low should probably park at the top of the hill, about 250' from the tiny. We're proud of all of our extensively-visited and reviewed dwellings and encourage you to check out what people have had to say about their time at Innisfree Farms -- check us out!
