There is just something special about an A-Frame and we are delighted to share ours with you! Come calm your soul in the peace and comfort of a home away from home nestled in the Flint Hills of Kansas. Located on the east side of Tuttle Creek Lake and next to Carnahan Creek Recreation Area. An awesome get away for families, friends and couples. Manhattan is a 20 min drive for city fun. We can accommodate up to 8 people upon request for an additional $20.00 per head per night. The space Carnahan A-Frame has undergone some pretty great renovations with a beautifully remodeled kitchen. It is fully equipped for home cooking. We have a kamado grill outdoors for cookouts. Staple furnishings are of high quality. Love to mix the old with the new! Styled with mid century/bohemian vibes , you are sure to feel the love that has gone into this house. We provide TV's in the main living area, the loft, and all bedrooms. Complimentary Netflix, Hulu live and Disney for our guests. Tuttle Creek Lake is 1/2 mile down the road. Carnahan Recreation Area has horse riding/hiking trails, a boat ramp and a large cove just a short walk/drive from the house. There is plenty of parking at the A-Frame and fenced pasture for your horses if needed. Guest access You will have access to the entire house during your stay. The 15 acre property includes fenced pasture, and both small and large fire pits down by the pond. You will be surrounded by the magical flint hills! Other things to note At the A-frame you will be in a secluded area truly nestled in one of the most beautiful areas of the Flint Hills. We like to remind our guests that you are in a remote area where nature reigns. Certain times of year brings certain types of creatures. The most annoying are the insects. Keep screen doors closed to keep bugs out of the house. We provide wasp spray under the kitchen sink and in the mail box in the carport. A fly swatter is in cabinet next to the refrigerator and utility room downstairs. You may see deer, lizards and frogs. You will likely hear coyotes and lots of birds. Come connect to nature in the best way!
