Direct Beach Access - Casual Luxury on the Ocean
Ocean air and direct beachfront access. Ache to wake up to the waves and sunshine? Feeling a nee to sink your toes in the sand with your coffee in hand, steps from the deck? Our home, built in 2006, will provide the restoration and relaxation you've been looking for on the coast of Maine, in a bright, clean environment. Granite countertops, screened in porch, hammock, and subway-tiled bathrooms allow you some luxury on Bailey Island, unseen in many nearby rentals. It doesn't get bettah! Many houses in Maine have "antique charm" - which, while lovely, can lack a certain clean, bright happy feeling. Our house, built in 2006, boasts gorgeous views of the ocean, giant sliding doors with light pouring in, and high ceilings, offering ocean views throughout the home. There is a great room - the kitchen/dining/living space all share the same footprint, with plenty of room to move around - 2 huge couches, a table that seats at least 12, 4 barstools at the counter so thew cook(s) is never alone, and a 6 person table on the screened in porch, perfect for coffee and newspaper time. The entire house is yours - 3K square feet. We have a local caretaker who lives on island and can help with any needs. He has worked with us for over a decade and is a delight. I am also available via phone. The house shares a street with only 5 other houses - all oceanfront as well. Neighbors are lovely, and everyone has at least an acre, so you only see people if you want to. The driveway holds about 5 cars. A local restaurant, Morse's Curbstone Bridge, is about 1/4 mile away, as is the General Store. Another great lunch/breakfast option, Salt Cod Cafe, is about 2/3 of a mile away across the famous Cribstone Bridge.
