Dorsey Cottage - On quite cove The space Dorsey Cottage is situated on a quiet cove that is just off the popular sailing lanes of Eggemoggin Reach (a mile wide body of water separating Deer Isle from the mainland). This picturesque cove wraps around two sides of the home, and provides for more expanded views northeast looking out across the cove and out to the reach. The home is set back from Reach Road, with a large pasture fronting the home, providing for a fully tranquil setting. Simply furnished, the interior provides for a somewhat modest and relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen, living and dining area are open, light and airy, and all gaze upon the surrounding natural beauty. The home has two bedrooms, one downstairs (queen) and one up (double), each with their own bathrooms. There is also a fold down futon in the living room for added sleeping. An open deck runs along the entire back of the home, and includes patio furniture. Both the living room and downstairs bedroom have sliding glass doors leading out to the deck. There is a covered deck on the front of the home overlooking the pasture. The setting is a kids paradise for exploration, but also a serene backdrop for adults to unwind and relax. Washer, dryer, TV will have a cable or satellite connection, VCR, DVD. Guest access Guests enjoy access to the full cottage, surrounding yard and pastures, and quiet cove.
