The space The interior combines selected antiques with handcrafted contemporary furnishings and unique host created light fixtures. Handsomely framed artwork graces the walls with richly colored floral bounty. Please note that there is one bathroom and it is located downstairs from the master loft bedroom. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are open in design, and can be tricky for some people and their pets. Smaller children need to be supervised on the stairs. a child gate is available to prevent toddlers from accessing the stairs on their own. The space can accommodate 6 people using the fold out sofa bed as the third sleeping area. It is an intimate and cozy space best suited to people and families who like to spend time together. Outdoors there's plenty of space for games as well as a patio, grill and an outdoor fireplace for socializing. Adjoining trails provide memorable hiking or mountain biking in summer and skiing in winter in the natural 'Outer Space' of state land. Neighboring Belleayre Mountain offers both downhill and (free) cross country skiing with nine lifts featuring the new Catskill Thunder Gondola. Guest access You'll enjoy whole house access... all the basics for easy living plus an abundance of extras indoors as well as in the spacious grounds outside. The hosts, Blythe & Duncan, try to anticipate your every need. There's a large library (books, & music.) with a collection of 50 board games to brighten a rainy day. The 'Welcome Book' offers extensive listings of local shopping, dining, attractions, and cultural sites. A handy map routes your local trips. Updated pamphlets and publications provide additional resource. Other things to note Urbanites will experience nature and wildlife close up. For most that's a delightful experience.
