Come enjoy a getaway to beautiful Lake Tahoe. Our cabin has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, and is in a great location from which you can easily start any adventure. Roomy and comfortable cabin close to everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer. Open floor plan, vaulted ceilings and huge windows bring the outside in. Comfortable leather sofa and chairs to relax in, with a gas fireplace to keep you warm. All new beds and box springs in January 2013 for a good nights rest before the next day's activities. New central heat and air conditioning in Fall 2013 to keep you comfortable throughout the house on cold winter nights and hot summer days. Entire house. Two car garage. Outdoor propane gas grill, picnic table and chairs on the deck. Board, card and dice games; horseshoes, bocce and ladder toss for outdoor games. My wife and I manage the property, communicating primarily via email. We retain a local service providing cleaning services, fresh linens and towels for each guest and serve as emergency contact should anything go wrong; they also offer to our guests fee-based concierge services (activity reservations, grocery shopping, etc.) if desired. Hiking, biking, snowshoeing and snowmobiling trails accessible at the end of our street. The cabin is located about 4 miles from the commercial area of South Lake Tahoe (restaurants, casinos, Heavenly). Guests have access to the entire house and garage, with exception to the storage closets. Via email and phone/text. I provide a lock-box code customized to your stay, and instructions on how to use it. You access the cabin yourself, but am available at any time during your stay should any questions arise. The neighborhood is quiet, with many year-round neighbors. Houses are spaced far apart enough that you will feel like your only neighbors are the trees and animals! South Lake Tahoe has a noise ordinance, so we request that our guests respect the rights of all the neighbors to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the fresh mountain air. A car is required, our cabin is an easy drive from all the major attractions: lake (beaches), ski resorts (Heavenly, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Kirkwood), unlimited hiking and biking (trailheads begin at the end of our street), Stateline casinos, etc. All prices (nightly rate and cleaning fees) include 10% local TOT (transient occupancy tax) charged on all vacation rentals in the South Lake Tahoe area. We have upgraded our entertainment to offer a Roku device equipped with access to our Netflix, Hulu Plus, SlingTV (ESPN, ESPN2, CNN, and others) accounts as well as other streaming services. Our high-speed wireless Internet is great, and the TV has an HDMI input, so feel free to bring your own computer or device to connect. We are not currently subscribed to a cable TV provider. We retain a local cleaning service, who also serve to provide a visual inspection prior to and after your departure. The cleaning services includes fresh linens, towels, individual-sized soaps/shampoos, paper towels and toilet paper (enough for a long weekend). We have the highest respect for them, as they continue to perform a top-notch service with the highest attention to detail, so you can be assured that you are entering a clean and well-kept property. We ask that you please be mindful of their efforts, and please tidy prior to departure so that they can complete their service efficiently.
