Check-in is at 6 PM and check-out at 10 AM. Early arrivals and late departures are subject to a non-negotiable $90 fee, automatically. Please note, parties are not permitted on the property. Our pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day through approximately September 20th providing a perfect way to relax during warmer months. The space Welcome to our spacious and fully remodeled home, offering a comfortable stay for guests. Please note that as this is our personal residence, some of our personal items will remain in the space. The entire home is yours to enjoy, with the exception of certain private areas. The basement, remodeled in 2019, provides a great retreat for guests seeking both relaxation and convenience. Important House Guidelines: Please remove your shoes upon entering the house to maintain cleanliness. Be sure to turn off all lights when leaving the house. This listing includes the entire house, and the host will vacate during your stay. If you’re a hunter, please contact us for any booking alterations through the platform. Tips are appreciated, and my son will serve as your hunting guide. We ask that you leave the home as you found it, with one exception: we prefer to pull the bedding for you. There is a dishwasher available for your convenience. Please remember to sweep the floors, wipe down counters, and dispose of all food, drinks, and trash appropriately. For a $15 discount, copy and paste this message into our thread when booking. Trash disposal: We have a dumpster in the breezeway, as well as an extra-large blue dumpster near the propane tank on the north side of the property. Please run one load of sheets or blankets (not towels) through the washing machine before departure. Firewood is available upon request. Kindly avoid entering the Morton building, as it is our place of business. As a busy farming family, we are delighted to host you. Please keep in mind that this home is both a personal residence and an investment, so while it’s well-maintained, it’s not perfect. If anything doesn’t meet your expectations, let us know so we can address it. With 2,604 square feet of living space, this home is perfect for those looking for comfort and a personal touch during their stay. Guest access Guests will have full access to a wide range of indoor and outdoor amenities during their stay: Fire Pit & Bonfires – Enjoy cozy evenings around the fire with beautiful open-sky views. Basketball Hoop – Great for a casual game outdoors. Indoor & Outdoor Parking – Ample space is available, including garage access. Private Pool – Our pool is maintained daily; you may see a member of our family briefly entering the pool area for cleaning. We will always message ahead of time. Washer & Dryer – In-home laundry is available for your convenience. Kitchen & Food Storage – Feel free to make yourself at home with full kitchen access. Scenic Views & Walks – Take in stunning sunrises, sunsets, and peaceful evening walks. Nature Access – Several timbers along the Solomon and Smoky Hill Rivers offer excellent spots for wildlife watching or exploration. The property includes access to over 4,700 acres of no-till farmland, rich with wildlife. Guests interested in hunting, shed hunting, or mushroom foraging are welcome—please inquire in advance, as additional fees may apply. Once a hunting reservation is confirmed, it is nonrefundable. For guests interested in hunting, we offer semi-guided hunts at additional rates: Deer (up to 5 days): $1,500 per person Upland Birds: $75 per person per day Turkeys (3 days): $500 per person Waterfowl: $200 per person per day Predators: $50 per person per day …and more. Please respect check-in and check-out times. Changes may be accommodated with a $90 adjustment fee. Finally, in keeping with Airbnb standards and to help us maintain the home as we get older, we kindly ask guests to return the home to the condition in which it was found. We’re honored to share our land and lifestyle with you—thank you for being respectful guests! Other things to note The home comfortably sleeps 1–12 guests, including two sleeping spaces on couches. Headcount does affect your price. No pets allowed indoors. Hunting dogs are welcome in the attached garage only. Social gatherings are welcome, as long as the home and property are returned to their original condition. Thank you for treating the space with care. There are three bathrooms: two located upstairs and one downstairs. Boosie, our outdoor dog, is shy and friendly but may bark at night. He can be shut in the pool area if needed. Outdoor cats may lounge around the pool area—even though we feed them in the Morton building. Please avoid feeding them; if your group gives them snacks, they’ll continue to bother you. Farm animals are not permitted inside the home or garage under any circumstances. They are not indoor/outdoor pets, despite what their personalities may suggest. The house includes six large smart TVs, along with a DVD player and DirecTV service for your entertainment. During pool season, we will enter the yard once daily to maintain and treat the pool. We'll always do our best to be quick and respectful of your privacy. This is our personal home, and we take pride in sharing it with guests. We kindly ask that you leave the space exactly as you found it. Mention this note when messaging us, and you’ll receive $15 off your stay.
