Skoolie in the Woods

Rural stay in a boho rustic handcrafted 40' school bus. Only a mile off Hwy 80. Close to ski resorts, Rollins Lake, Truckee, Nevada City and Colfax. Bike routes close by. Area around bus has lounging area with chairs and table, BBQ, Hammock, Homemade teetertotter (for grown up kids too!) and Outdoor Shower. Visit the chickens and pygmy goats. Listen to the wildlife and you will hear the trains. Children are welcome but be aware it is hilly. This is an usual stay, please read all information. The space The space Complete with composting toilet, electricity and water. Note: you will have to heat water in the kettle. There is no hot water in the bus. The bus has a separate bedroom with a door and super comfy full bed, a door that opens wide to the forest., There is a bunk bed with two bunks that are long enough for adults. Couch is also large enough to make into a bed. There is a propane stove with small oven, running water and five gallon water bottle for drinking . You will find all the makings for coffee and tea, Cups, plates, silverware, cooking utensils and pots and pans. A wonderful hot water outdoor shower. There is a TV with a selection of DVD movies, books, magazines and a few musical instruments for you to enjoy. There is WIFI. I goes from being decent to iffy, please keep that in mind. It's different, artistic, rustic and wonderful! Guest access Parking is at the bottom of a dirt drive that leads up to the bus. It's a short walk and a wagon is provided to bring up your personal items. Other things to note You will be able to see my home from the windows of the bus. The main outdoor area with shower, fire pit and sitting area is private as the bus blocks the view of the house. On the back end of the bus there is a large wild area to enjoy. Property is hilly, you are welcome to explore but note that much of the acreage is wild. Bears occasionally visit the area. Please be conscious of food left outside. **Laundry room is available. We ask for $5.00 per load (wash and dry) Its an older washer and dryer so no huge loads or blankets. **Firewood is available $5.00 per box. We will have some available to get you started. **Please be aware that I live on the property. There are animals and mini farm life goes on. I will do my best to keep things as private and quiet as possible. Dog will bark, goats will mah, chickens will cluck. *** WiFi can be iffy in the bus. There are areas on the property where it is very strong and you are welcome to uses these areas should it be an issue.
