Tranquil Outdoor Paradise in the Ocala Forest

The Cabin at Cedar Landing is your base for exploring the hiking, fishing, paddling (canoe & kayak), birding, and hunting opportunities in the Ocala National Forest. The feeling is tranquil yet rustic, but with modern amenities such as wifi and central air/heat. Stroll down the wooded path to fish at the dock with views of the Cross Florida Greenway, or trailer your kayak & canoes to nearby launches. The Florida National Hiking Trail is three miles away, as are numerous ATV Trails. The space Although many exciting outdoor activities are available nearby, one could easily pass the days relaxing on the screened porch with views of the forest and meandering around short trails within walking distance of the cabin. This 1,500sf 2br/2ba cabin is built with Florida Pine harvested from the surrounding Ocala National Forest, yet has modern HVAC, a fully equipped kitchen, wifi, a flat-screen TV, and laundry room w/washer & dryer. Board games are on site for indoor entertainment, while a firepit is in the 1 acre cleared yard. Watch butterflies, dragonflies, wild turkey, deer, and the occasional Florida black bear! For the sake of full disclosure, these are not luxury accommodations. We are slowly upgrading the cabin (new dining room table, cook top, shower head, exhaust fan in bathroom, etc.). However, we are saving up to address some worn out items and aren’t there yet. We are so gung-ho about the outdoor activities that dated furniture and minor staining to the carpet doesn’t bother us. However, we want to make sure that all guests are aware that the cabin is cozy but not brand new. Guest access Cabin and grounds are open to all guests!!! Please don’t try to enter the small white bunk house by the carport; it needs some work. The drive way entrance is tight. If you are plan to trailer a boat or ATVs, please let me know in advance so that I may arrange an alternate entrance through an easement on a neighbor’s property. The maximum boat size that can be trailered in, even through the easement, is 18’.
