The Guest Suite is on the lower level of the home. Perfect for overnight, weekend, and short-term guests in mind. Surrounded by Frontenac State Park, enjoy the quiet or head out for an adventure. A clean open space with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The home is a quick drive to either Red Wing or Lake City all though I live in country on gravel road . It's a scenic 45-minute drive to Rochester. Head down the road and enjoy Lake Pepin. Bring your water toys and enjoy the day The space Enter through a private entrance via a code lock. I have a full kitchen so you can cook your meals. I did include some items like coffee, teas, honey (from my hives), sugar, creamer, oil, and salt & pepper. Relax in the massage chair in front of the gas fireplace or take a soak in the tub after a long day exploring. Fresh sheets are ready for you to just fall into bed after a long day of adventure-seeking or if you've just been unwinding and relaxing around the house. Explore the 5 acres of land or head up to the state park which is adjoind to property. Depending on the season you could enjoy a hike taking in the beautiful fall colors, searching for morel mushrooms or fiddleheads, or snowshoeing in the winter. At night, sit outside by the fire pit. Check out one of the local eateries or bars, many of which now have live music on the weekends. I'd be happy to give you information about where you can eat, play, or just hideaway during your stay! Guest access Lower Level of home Other things to note Enter the driveway after the 2 mile gravel road turn off and then make a u-turn and park by the sign that states Guest Parking. It is slightly past the sidewalk where you enter the lower level to the home and where you will enter into the suite. Thier is a second unit on the property called Veterans Retreat . I built it for my brother's and sisters with disabilities. It is available for rental and is dog friendly . I do offer a discount rate for Veterans please be prepared to show a VA card or some Identification to recieve it. We now have kayaks and life jackets for rent! You will be asked to sign a waiver before removing kayaks from the premise. Please contact me for more information on the rental of kayaks and trailer.
