The Granary at Avon Acres - Private Guest Cottage

The Granary is a recently converted 110 year old grain shed (remodeled Summer 2020). It features a full kitchen, vaulted ceilings, bedroom loft and beautiful .75 bath. Located on the West side of Mount Vernon, it is minutes from I-5, yet situated on a 40-acres of farmland, next to an original barn and behind the main farmhouse. Good WiFi for work, ramp access and a ground-level hide-a-bed. Large West-facing deck and hot tub to enjoy sunsets. The space The Granary is located behind the 110-year-old “Farmhouse at Avon Acres” and shares the same driveway for access. It is ~100 years old itself, but was recently remodeled and is functionally brand-new in every regard, and makes use of several salvaged materials from the original structure as well as others. Guest access Guests have access to the entire Granary, the attached deck and hot tub. Dedicated parking for 2 vehicles. Other things to note The property is in a quiet rural area with few neighbors. It is situated in an agricultural area and the associated agricultural sights and sounds. Usually this is limited to tractors and other farm equipment on the roads and in the adjacent fields, as well as some very friendly goats! Alex and Marie own and operate a total of 3 AirBnB units at Avon Acres. "The Barn Apartment at Avon Acres" is located next door to the "The Farmhouse at Avon Acres" - about 100yds to the west. The 3 units sit on about 3 acres of trees, lawns and pastures at the northeast corner of our 38.5 acre parcel, the remainder of the land being actively farmed each season for the production of a variety of food crops.
