Live in gorgeous upstate NY at the sweetest landing spot - the roundhouse of millerton - with solar panels, wrap-around deck, lovely big windows, and locally harvested, soft-pine wooden floors. it’s definitely a special one to come by. Millerton is a charming little village with its famous diner, beautiful swimming, Appalachian trail, Berkshires, Bash Bish Falls, & Lime Rock Park right next door. Long-term rentals only! The space The wonderful Roundhouse of Millerton, has sustainability, efficiency, and environmental impact at the forefront of all the last owners' decisions, it is solidly and very thoughtfully built. Millerton is a 20 minute drive (or 50 minute bike-ride on the rail-trail) from the Wassaic train station (MTA North), ~2hrs from Penn Station NYC. It is a charming little village, at a walking distance from the house. NYS Home Energy Star Rated, the house was designed to maximize the southern exposure (while remaining cool inside in the summer), and it's surrounded by all you can wish in the countryside. The house has lots of natural light; it is solid, well-insulated, unique, and very comfortable. It is very minimalistically furnished. Feel free to bring your own furniture. Guest access You'll be able to access the whole house, except the basement! Other things to note Careful: -For people used to high-rise lifestyle in the city :) No matter the cleanliness of our house and how well kept it is, it can (very rarely) happen that you may encounter a mouse, like in any country house. Rest assured we do our best to deter any furry little friends/unwanted visitors. Please make sure you thoroughly store your food away. -Please also make sure that you park exclusively on the driveway. Our septic tank is buried under the lawn, it is crucial to not drive over any part of the lawn/grass.
