Quiet Country Cottage on Farm-30 Min from Paducah

Charming farm cottage on a hill overlooking West Fork Valley located in rural Carlisle Co. in a peaceful, quiet setting. Our farm has been in our family for 100 years and we love making it available for guests to share our love of the land and the natural beauty of West KY! The cottage features an airy, open floor plan with living, dining sleeping areas & kitchen. There is also one private bedroom & one bath with inviting shower. Woods, creek, wildlife, & only 30 min from Paducah. The space Our farm is a working farm, growing corn, soybeans, and hay for the horses. The "bottoms" along West Fork of Mayfield Creek are planted in corn this year, and we alternate between corn and beans. Paducah is only 30 minutes away, for the Quilt Shows (fall and spring), the Quilt Museum, Lowertown Arts Community, the Barbecue on the River Festival in September, and the many other amenities offered by this unique small city on the rivers! The confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi is just a few minutes away at Wickliffe, and be sure and visit Fort Jefferson Memorial Cross where you'll have a great view of the rivers, Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois . . . . . "the birthplace of the Mighty Mississippi!" Guest access The entire cottage is available for guests for the entire time of their stay. Family members live nearby and are present on the farm every day, carrying on the business of the farm, and are able to meet all guest needs immediately. Access to the cottage is by key code on the front door. Upon confirming your reservations, you will be provided the code which is updated regularly. Other things to note The driveway up the hill to Roots and Wings is a bit steep, but it is paved and graded so that you should have no trouble getting up the hill.
