Listing is 2 bedrooms, each with a king bed, connected by a private bathroom between them. The Mansion sits on nine private acres with a lake and an outdoor pool. Indoor rooms (library, parlor, game room, dining room) are shared with other guests. You'll be close to everything and only steps from Starlight Theater & the Zoo. LGBTQ & BLM friendly. Pet free. Owners reside onsite. Ask about other rooms. No children under age 2 allowed; maximum of 2 guests, including children (over age 2). The space Grand, peaceful and beautiful, your spacious 2nd-floor two-bedroom suite features king-size beds, luxurious linens, oversized armchairs, fireplaces, closets, large windows overlooking our lake, and a private bath between your bedrooms with a 6' claw foot tub and original artistic tile. Enjoy reading, writing, napping, or a glass of wine in your room. Maybe a cup of coffee on one of the shared porches or the balcony. Our place is good for couples, solo or partnered adventurers, business travels, and all those who love preserved historic architecture & environmentally responsible living. A retreat near the city! There are steps to get into the Mansion and all sleeping rooms are on the 2nd floor. Also, you'll want to have a car or use a ride-share. We have plenty of off-street parking and a spot saved just for you. We are happy to suggest restaurants, theaters, shopping, museums, nightlife, unusual and usual sites, whatever you enjoy! We can direct you to grocery, gas, drug & liquor stores . . . and tell you which ones to steer clear of! During your stay Hosts live onsite. We love to interact with guests, but we also understand you may prefer privacy. Because this is a B&B with common spaces, and no areas are infant-proof, we cannot accomodate children under the age of 2. • The private bathroom does not have a shower, but is a tranquil space with toilet, sink, amenities and a claw foot soaking tub. It has an attached hand-held sprayer, which is handy but does not provide the ability to stand and shower. We provide soaking salts, shampoo, conditioner, soap and a hair dryer. • Listed on both the National and Local Registries of Historic Places. • Weapons are not permitted. • Smoking & vaping allowed in designated outdoor areas only. • Parties not permitted without prior permission of the hosts. • Photo & video shoots not permitted. • Not ADA accessible, 6 steps exterior to enter our home, and 18 steps to 2nd floor and your bedroom (high ceilings = many steps).
