The "Chicken House" is a charming 1920's era home that has been lovingly and completely restored. Within, there is a new kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave and conventional oven. It has 2 small bedrooms, a living room sofa and 1 bath with tub/shower. The home is wifi enabled. The space Outside there are front and back patios that are lighted. The home is in a quiet neighborhood that is super convenient to the center of town along with the famous Thursday night Farmer's Market (temporarily closed due to Covid) as well as the rolling hills of SLO (great for hiking, strolls and biking). The home is a 4-5 block walk to midtown shops, restaurants and bars. There is a small flock of friendly chickens that are kept in a secured coop at the back of the property (The owner manages them). As Superhosts, we would like to tell you that we are in full compliance with the current CDC recommendations and that you will be provided a very clean and safe home while you visit SLO. While many changes are occurring locally, nationally, and globally, San Luis Obispo has accommodated local businesses and visitors in some very charming ways. We are currently not hosting our Famous Thursday evening Farmers Market. For the next year, stretches of San Luis Obispo’s Monterey and Higuera Streets will close down to vehicles every Thursday and Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m., and for most of the day on Saturdays and Sundays. this allows permitted restaurants and shops to remain open with outdoor dining. Our beaches and trails are open and we invite you to enjoy the outdoor activities that the central coast is so famous for.
