Topanga is an amazing place to be and we would love to welcome you. This is a beautiful serene setting in walking distance to Topanga State Park. We are nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains and are just a short drive to the beach. Nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains, Topanga has been a muse for famous artists, musicians, and writers. A nature retreat with stunning views, perfect for a vacation, romantic getaway, or an inspiring studio for writers and artists. Our studio apartment on the lower level of the property offers a comfortable and unique stay. While it is part of our house, it has no joining walls to our living areas. Connected through an overhang, one of the terraces of the main house becomes the roof of the guesthouse. Perfect for two, the studio features a California King bed, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, 4-burner stove top, microwave with an integrated oven, and a Keurig Coffee machine with complimentary organic coffee. There is a small bathroom with a pebble shower using stones from the beach. Overall it is a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy the outdoors with plenty of space and an additional seating area outside. Note that our bedding follows European style with duvet covers for comfort and hygiene. All linens, including 100% cotton, are sanitized in high-temperature washes. For your comfort, the guesthouse is equipped with an Air Conditioning/ Heater unit to ensure a pleasant stay in all temperatures. Friendly pets are welcome, and we have a black Labrador girl, Poppy (6), at the main house. Situated in the midst of nature, be prepared for occasional wildlife encounters, including friendly ants. Please avoid leaving food out to ensure a peaceful coexistence with nature. We look forward to providing you with a serene and comfortable retreat in the heart of Topanga. The location is ideal, only 3.5 miles from the ocean, 20 minutes to Santa Monica, Malibu, and the Studios. While cars are essential in LA, Topanga itself offers picturesque areas, renowned restaurants like INN of the Seventh Ray, a French bistro, A Pizza Place and several cafes . Embrace the bohemian spirit of Topanga, known for its open-air Shakespeare Theatre, Elysium fields, and Rodeo Grounds from the '60s and '70s. Enjoy mountain biking, hiking trails, and surfing, with Topanga State Beach and Malibu just a drive away. Explore shopping in Santa Monica, the Valley, Hollywood, and Melrose. Experience the beauty of PCH beaches, famous cliff trails, beach restaurants, and whale watching spots. Guest access Guests can use the guesthouse level only. From there, they can see the main house on the right side of the hill, near the Adirondack chairs. However, the lower level is all yours. Please note: The Guesthouse is on a gated property. It is a super safe area. The guesthouse does not have a key. It can be locked from the inside for at night. We are superhost since 17 years and live here since 30 years and never had an issue. Other things to note Thursday morning is Trash Day and you might hear the truck going by.
