Marshbreeze

This house is a quiet recluse on the marsh and a tidal creek. It faces Sapelo Island and is close to St. Simons, Jekyll, and Savannah. Great for naturalists with a 1.5 acre fresh water pond for exotic birds and wildlife and near to the Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge. We have 2 double kayaks, a canoe, 8 bikes, a hot tub and a sky for stargazing. The well-equipped kitchen opens to the great room with bedrooms on each wing. Pets welcome and plenty of parking. The space The kitchen and main living area is a great room in between the bedrooms. The master bedroom and bath is on one side of the house, and the other two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms are on the other side. All bedrooms have a good view. The two bedrooms with king size beds have doors that open onto the screened porch facing the marsh. Guest access Guests can take a trail around the pond, slowly and quietly for the sake of the wildlife -- also allowing privacy space for the only other house on the pond. (The owners will require occasional access to the garage area under the house for maintenance, etc.) Other things to note We have begun experimenting, encouraged by many articles, to not mow our lawn -- for the sake of all the pollinators and the planet. We are keeping some areas mowed for access and safety. We employ no fertilizers, except compost, and no pesticides.
