Welcome to our lower-level sanctuary, a space defined by its unique personality and warm, lived-in charm. Unlike cookie-cutter rentals, this home is filled with personal touches that offer privacy with private creek access on our 30 acre property. Guests have a separate entrance with access to a space equipped with 2 twin beds made up as a king sized configuration, along with a bath and sitting area. Enjoy the hot tub after hiking as you enjoy the wonderful nightly sunsets and evening stars. The space Although you experience the sense of being completely isolated, you will be within 5 miles of 12 eateries and a grocery market. The room comes with a kitchenette with a microwave, coffee maker, hot plate and toaster. A propane barbecue with side burner is at your disposal on the deck outside your unit. Just steps out your door, you will find a a large, covered deck equipped with a hot tub, hammock, gas barbecue and patio furniture that may be shared with our upstairs unit's guests. We are willing to share the bounty from a very large garden and seasonal fruit trees. On the property, guests can access a year round creek if you don't have a 4 or all wheel drive car or by taking a short (0.3 miles), but challenging hike down to our private swimming hole and sundeck. There are several rustic trails along this 30 acre parcel that would allow guests to experience very private nature walks. Guests will enjoy falling asleep to the sights and sounds of water from the creek and a waterfall across the canyon of this listing. An additional Airbnb Experience is available for guests to spend several hours in our fully equipped woodworking shop to create your own heirloom cedar toy made from reclaimed wood. Slippers can be provided. - We are requesting 2 day minimum reservations. - This is an adults only listing - Possibly shared Hot tub not to be used after 11 pm - Please provide your own washcloth for make-up removal - We request you bring your own floatation devices and water shoes for the creek - Upon arrival, you will be asked to sign a waiver regarding liability with using the creek at your own risk. Other things to note An add-on option is to sign up for a woodworking session in our fully equipped shop to build an heirloom toy from repurposed redwood or cedar. This is a 5 hour activity over 1 or 2 days to create your choice of a model T car, Biplane, steam locomotive or Mississippi style paddle boat. Details are available once you book your stay. There is a partially concreted and dirt road to the creek you can drive. Otherwise it is only a short, 0.3 mile, wooded, mildly challenging walk to the creek.
