The home sleeps only 4 for true hospitality. It has a nice, enjoyable patio space area and a parking spot for one small to medium-sized vehicle. Conveniently located between the scenic Sunset Cliffs and vibrant eclectic Newport Ave. There are two homes on the same property built in 1928-1930. The Casita, where you will be staying, is private and completely separate from our main home. Our home is located in front of the property. The Casita has been remodeled, featuring 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed in each bedroom, and only 1 bathroom. PLEASE NOTE, the bathroom is connected to the primary bedroom, and guests must walk through the primary bedroom to access the bathroom. The kitchen is well-stocked and offers a dining table for 4. The great room includes sliding doors that link the kitchen and living room to the private backyard patio. We have a desk perfect for working travelers with 1 computer monitor and an HDMI cable. The airport and Coast Guard are located close to Ocean Beach and other communities; there is potential for aircraft noise according to the flight path. Features & Amenities Include: - Outdoor Dining space with BBQ - Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, sand toys, boggie boards, and 1 Igloo rolling cooler (upon request) - Highchair and Pack n' Play (upon request) - Indoor fireplace to chase away any evening chill - AC and Heating system ( mini-splits ductless air system) - Shower with plush towels, a hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries - No washer or dryer on-site (laundromat located a few blocks away) Outdoor lights ( parking area and patio) are on a timer from Dusk to Dawn for visibility and security. No 3rd party booking. No smoking in the cottage or Patio area is allowed. No pets allowed. We thank you in advance. We ask to add to the reservation any guests who are staying at the property. One camera only located outside the property by the alleyway for security. Guest access The Casita ( where you are staying) is privately fenced from our home. You will be able to enjoy your own patio space/garden area and BBQ. *Access to where you will be staying is through the alleyway, NOT through the main gate or front street access. Host will give you instructions prior to arrival. You have parking available for only 1 vehicle next to the Casita front door in the grabble area. A small to medium-sized vehicle or mid-sized SUV will fit in the designated parking spot. A full-sized large truck or extended-length SUV will need to park by the nearby street but, may unload at the Casita before parking. Other things to note Standard check-in is 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Please send an ETA note to the host regarding time of arrival at the Casita. Check-out time is by 11:00 AM.. Early check-in or extended check-out time can often be arranged - based on availability on the days leading up to arrival and departure. This is a smoke-free Casita, including the patio. If you have a guest staying with you, please add their name to your reservation for transparacy and accountability. Extend Your Stay (optional): Extending your arrival and departure times can be confirmed and secured in advance base on availability by blocking the night before and/or after your planned reservations dates and is especially helpful when syncing up with flight arrival and departure times. For this reason, and as a courtesy to our guests, we offer the following extend-your-stay options: -Get a head start on your vacation and arrive as early as 8:00 AM ($75) -Enjoying your day, the sun and beach and extend your check-out till 5:00 PM ($75) Because of the convenient proximity to the San Diego Airport and Coast Guard there is potential for aircraft noise. We do require ID confirmation from guest booking our cottage, noted in our Listing Description. We have one security camera by the alleyway. No other cameras on premises.
