Pet friendly stay for up to 10 people and 2 pets on the east shore of Chenango Lake. Enjoy 2 lake side cabins, 2 private acres, and 300 feet of lake front. Located 6 miles from Norwich NY in the heart of Chenango County and Central NY. Just a 33-minute drive to Oneonta’s “Cooperstown All Star Village” and 53 minutes to the playing fields of Cooperstown’s “Dreams Park.” Campfires, barbeques, fishing, swimming, kayaking, corn hole, or a nap in the hammock await you, your family, and guests. The space Our family friendly property features 2 cabins on a 2-acre lot, and each is serviced by its own driveway. One we call the "Lower" or main cabin and the other is our "Upper" or small cabin. The main cabin sleeps up to 7 and the small cabin sleeps up to 3. Both cabins are seasonal (May-Sep), furnished and heated. Our 300-foot waterfront has both grass lawn areas with unobstructed lake views and tree lined undeveloped “woodsy” sections adding a sense of privacy and seclusion. The main cabin is a rustic yet comfortable one-bedroom with 2 queen size beds (a privacy curtain between them), a full bath (shower, no tub) and a half bath. The kitchen is of good size and includes all the pots and pans and meal prep implements you’ll need. The main cabin features a large gathering room with a large rustic stone gas-fired fireplace, a queen size sofa sleeper, a twin bed, another sofa, and a power leather recliner. A separate dining room seats 6-8 comfortably and is just steps away from a large hospitality deck overlooking the lake and including umbrella covered tables, deck chairs, and a gas grill. The small “upper” cabin has a cozy cottage feel featuring a one-bedroom queen size bed, a full double sink bathroom (shower stall, no tub), a fully equipped kitchen, a small open concept gathering room with a couch, comfy chairs and a dinette set. A deck overlooking a tree lined lake view features a table, chairs, and a gas grill. Steps away you’ll find stairs taking you from the cabin to the lake front, lower cabin, dock, and memories too many to count. Both cabins include freshwater dispensers for drinking water and backup 5-gallon water jugs. Kitchen and bath sinks are fed by the lake and can be used safely for dish washing and boiled water cooking. Cabins are technology enabled and include cable TV, internet, Wi-Fi, and “old fashioned” DVD/VCR players with throwback movies. Plenty of linens and towels on hand so no need to bring your own. Games and books in both cabins and the main cabin has a record player and large collection of classic rock and oldie albums. The property is positioned for fun and comes equipped with corn hole boards/bags, a lakeside fire pit, marshmallow roasting stakes, hammocks, kayaks, a canoe, a standup paddleboard, swimming tubes, life jackets, fishing gear and even a driveway side basketball hoop. There's a dock used for fishing and swimming but it could also be used to tie off your boat if bringing one along. Check-in is Saturdays, 1pm or later. Check-out is Fridays by 11am. Guest access Parties of up to 10 have access to the entire 2-acre, 2-cabin property. The property will support more than 10 people if renter supplied tents or campers are brought along. We have a cancellation policy that does not refund if cancelling within 7 days of the reservation. Wildlife abounds! Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles, golden eagles, King Fishers, Owls, ducks and more. Those that fish should come prepared to catch bass, perch, walleye, pickerel, and bullhead.
