Geographic center of the region. Outstanding restaurants and nightspots. Walk to historic Eastern Market, the Capitol, etc. Very walkable neighborhood. Five blocks to Union Station (metro, tourmobiles,etc.) and Capitol South metro. Uber and Lyft are very easy to get here. Capital Bikeshare is a few blocks away. We strongly suggest guests don't drive to DC. Please do not assume parking is available. We can get a street parking pass if requested prior to booking but our property manager charges us $45 to pick to deliver the parking pass to the apartment and pick it up again. On weekends and overnight parking is open but on weekdays it's restricted to two hours. Great location to explore DC from. Fantastic neighborhood for longer term stay as well. There is an elevator, but to get to the lobby area you will need to walk up about ten steps. Like many buildings of this era in DC the building heat/air conditioning system that either heats or cools, depending on time of year. It does not do both simultaneously.
