Description
You've found it! Base camp to enjoy all that west Erie county has to offer. For the fisherman and non-fisherman alike, you'll find it nearby. Walk across the road to Elk Creek and find yourself on prime steelhead water. Explore the array of local businesses - a variety of farmer's markets, antique shops, breweries, restaurants - many less than a 10 minute drive. At the end of the day, kick back next to the fire pit or enjoy the hut tub while taking in the stars. You won't want to leave! The space The house is a two-story single family home with an open floor plan on the main level. The master bedroom is on the main level with an attached full bath with a glass shower door. There is also a second full bath on the main level caddy-corner to the kitchen which also contains a separate washer and dryer. The kitchen is very basic but functional with pots and pans, glassware, silverware and basic kitchen appliances. Stepping out the sliding back door of the house brings you to a 20x12 uncovered composite deck with a seating area and a hot tub that can fit 3-4 adults. There is also a fire pit in the yard nearby with another seating area with firewood provided on-site seasonally. The upper level of the house contains open space with multiple sleeping areas in two twin beds, a full-size pull-out sofa and a reclinable futon. There are two TVs in the house...a 55-in on the main level in and a 40-in the secondary living area on the second level. They are Roku TVs with applications for digital streaming. There is no traditional cable service in the house. however, there is reliable high-speed internet from Spectrum. The yard is large and suitable for many types of sports and activities. One additional note is that the steps going to the upstairs are somewhat steep and ungated. This is the reason the house is listed as not suitable for children under two years old. Other things to note This property is very basic. It's not a Ritz-Carlton. It is a 150 year old semi-renovated country home. The grass can get high in the summertime. There are many insects such as bees, wasps and spiders that make their home in the backyard. Local wildlife friends such as deer, cats, raccoons, possum, skunks, snakes and foxes sometimes pass through the yard. I have seen black bear no further than 2 miles up the road. The yard is not enclosed but is fenced on one side and has a good bit of privacy. Unfortunately, I have had multiple guests damage the hot tub. When the hot tub is used in a manner that requires repair or significant maintenance, I cannot guarantee its availability for future guests. If you are particularly concerned with this amenity or any others as part of your booking, please reach out in advance and I will let you know the status. I will always do my best to accommodate any special requests to make sure all my guests have an enjoyable stay. Thanks in advance for your consideration!
