The cabin is located in Pilot Knob, on the east side of Lake George, about 10 miles north of Lake George Village. The east shore of the lake is special because you face the sunset and get more hours of playtime, and it is almost exclusively residential. The cabin will comfortably sleep 6, and 2 bathrooms: upstairs bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink; downstairs bathroom with toilet, sink, and outdoor hot shower.  There is a large screened-in porch for dining and relaxing.  The large master bedroom has a 6' picture window, with a wooded view of the lake.  There is air conditioning in the master bedroom and one upstairs bedroom, although it is rarely needed due to the cool breeze down to the lake most evenings.  Large open deck built around large oaks, provides a shady, relaxing area with gas BBQ, comfy patio seating, large serving area, and storage. There is a good sized dock to relax and swim. The water depth is 1 to 10 feet, with excellent swimming in clear water.   Above the dock is a large sun deck with an expansive view of the lake, and great for watching sunsets.    The cabin is about 75' from the lake, and about 75-100' from the road.  A boat (20' or less) can be docked on mooring whips.  You have the entire cabin, yard, dock, and sundeck. We keep our boat in the boat slip, and only come by to use it (or to help you). There is a nice public sand beach about 1/10 mile down the road. There is excellent hiking on trails out the back door. The trail to the top of Buck Mountain is maintained by the state, and offers spectacular views of the Lake and Adirondacks. We live next door if you need anything. We aim to respect you privacy. It is a quiet residential area, and the houses and cabins are not jammed together as in some other areas of the lake.  By car, with parking for 2 vehicles (although we can make arrangements for more)
