The backyard has an authentic park style charcoal grill for your seasonal use. The house was originally built for the workers at the old saw mill on the property when Franklin Pierce was president in 1854. Guest access In addition to the property itself the neighborhood has a very walkable feel with an old iron bridge, another old mill that ground grain, and the very first Erie County School House. Many notable Buffalo families had summer homes here, well away from the city heat. Other things to note The concrete driveway holds two cars. The second gravel driveway by the side yard can easily handle two more! The old iron wheels by the side driveway are from a horse drawn lumber wagon that was used at the mill.
