It's like being in an alternate universe that doesn't adhere to the same laws as our own! You'll need cash for most things from rental cars to small restaurants / bars, to groceries so be sure you bring enough with you because there won’t always be working ATMs or credit card machines available. With this said, a few of the food and liquor stores now accept credit cards so we do see progress! Both beach houses have a safe so your personal items are safe as long as you are diligent in locking your doors when leaving the property.
