Private driveway and entrance leads to your Gorge Getaway vacation spot. View of Cascade mountains and Columbia River in the distance. All the amenities of home, but a better location ;) Kite, bike, paddle, hike, eat, drink - we have it good here. The space Bright, airy and huge daylight basement apartment (850 square feet!) - this space is part of our larger family home. Central air with radiant floor heat. Private patio with BBQ, sitting area and access to large yard. Television, wifi access, DVD player and a Wii. (Yes, a Wii!!!) One bedroom space with pull-out couch (with great and cozy bedding) and room for additional air-mattress for 2 children (upon request and discussion, that would bump up the number this space can accommodate to 6). Over-the-top large walk-in closet (we're talking almost another bedroom here). We try and stock the house with some local goods to give you a taste (and try) of what is going on around here. Won't list them all here, but our good friend and talented artist Barbara Murphy (barbaramurphy.net) will have several of her pieces hanging in our space (and available for purchase) as well as some pieces from our friends at Klickitat Pottery. And you'll be more than stoked with the coffee - from our friends at STOKED Roasters (in Hood River). More added as we run across local gems. Guest access As a guest, you will have private access to the space and to everything except for a storage closet and the utility room on this floor. Guests also have access to private deck (we may be passing through side yard to pick tomatoes from the garden and we may even give you some if you're around). Other things to note We have 2 cats (Rhubarb & Duck…yes Duck, my daughter has a cat named Goose…)They are very friendly and will come in to visit you. We'd prefer that you don't let him, as we would like to keep the space as cat-hair-free as possible for all future guests.
