Klahowya features mesmerizing blue water vistas across Thatcher Pass toward Blakely Island, and on a clear day you will see the snow-covered cone of Mount Baker in the distance. You will also enjoy watching the parade of boats headed from Anacortes to the Islands that pass by the windows as well as the shimmering reflection of the Washington State Ferry as it glides by on a regular schedule. Warm colors, knotty pine, and tasteful furnishings create a comfortable island style in this home. All main rooms focus toward the fabulous views, including the two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, one on the main level and one on the lower level. The lower level bedroom also offers a gas fireplace, TV in the sitting area, and private deck - the perfect place to watch the eagles soar overhead. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas range and new appliances and there are added contemporary benefits of satellite TV, located in the lower larger bedroom only, and wireless internet service. You will find Klahowya to be a quiet, restful place that is perfect for an Island getaway in all seasons. It is located only 200 yards from the Upright Head Nature Preserve where you can hike and maybe find the eagles nest! In addition, this house is only a mile from Odlin State Park, where you will find a great beach, public dock, and boat launch. Being close to the ferry landing, this home is also a great spot for those who arrive via bicycle.
